To work as the permit & compliance coordinator supporting the Grounds and Operations teams at the training centre, ensuring compliance for preventive planned maintenance, remedial & reactive works as part of the THFC safe system of works.




  • Administration & management of the THFC permit to work portal.
  • In accordance with standard operating procedures, carry out a full review of subcontractor Risk assessments & method statements for approval, covering academy, grounds, and ladies’ training facilities.
  • Validate all necessary information for permit submissions are in place.
  • Ensure all permits are issued, monitored, and closed in accordance with site procedure.
  • Approve or reject permit to work.
  • Liaise & understand subcontractor works / permit packs in preparation for commencement of works.
  • Maintain and update subcontractor Logbooks as per compliance procedure (Manual & digital)
  • Filing of service reports for academy and grounds
  • Support and manage all preventive planned maintenance (Academy & grounds) for client via the clients PTW system.
  • Liaise with client and service partners as per requirement. (Operation’s meetings.)
  • Updating of subcontractor & new starter inductions as per regulation & compliance, across academy and grounds.
  • Liaise with the Health and Safety Manager with regards to audits and compliance.
  • Complete timely audits with subcontractor live works, engaging in site tours, inspections ensuring H&S practices are met in accordance with SOP’s. (Academy & grounds team)
  • To record daily & weekly subcontractor reports to client and keyholders (Permitted works)
  • Safe systems of work documentation for Academy & grounds, are archived in accordance with company procedure.
  • Any other administration activity as instructed by the Health & Safety Manager, covering academy and grounds.
  • Updating of compliance folders for academy and grounds team.




Specific Experience:


  • Previous experience of working as a safe systems of work controller or permit to work / compliance officer, in an office environment.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of RAMS, SSOW and permit to work systems.
  • Some Health and Safety experience desirable. (Formal qualification - IOSH managing safely, with a willingness to achieve NEBOSH levels.
  • Proficient in the use with knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.




  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Good telephone manner
  • Well organised with good time management
  • Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines, using own initiative.
  • Full driving licence.
