Job Description

Phoenix Rising Football Club seeks the right individual to serve as our Partnership Sales Manager.  You will be responsible for driving revenue growth through the acquisition of sponsorship and partnership opportunities. Leveraging your sales expertise and industry knowledge, you will build and maintain relationships with corporate partners, negotiate sponsorship deals, and develop innovative strategies to maximize revenue streams.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Sponsorship Acquisition:
    • Identify and prospect potential sponsors within various industries.
    • Develop tailored sponsorship packages and proposals to meet the needs and objectives of potential partners.
    • Conduct sales presentations to showcase the value proposition of sponsoring our soccer team.
    • Negotiate terms and finalize agreements with sponsors, ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing sponsors.
    • Provide exceptional customer service to sponsors, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely manner.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to fulfill sponsorship commitments and deliver value to sponsors.
  • Revenue Optimization:
    • Continuously seek opportunities to upsell and renew sponsorship agreements.
    • Explore innovative sponsorship concepts and activation ideas to enhance partner engagement and ROI.
    • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new revenue opportunities.
  • Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling marketing materials and promotional campaigns to support sponsorship sales efforts.
    • Analyze sales data and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of sponsorship strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other departments, including marketing, community, and operations, to coordinate sponsorship activations and ensure seamless execution.
    • Provide input into the development of sponsorship inventory and pricing strategies based on market demand and industry benchmarks.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary or as directed.

Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field.
  • Proven track record of success in sponsorship sales or corporate partnerships, preferably within the sports industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals and meet revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop innovative sales strategies and solutions.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving revenue growth and achieving measurable outcomes.
  • Knowledge of the soccer industry and familiarity with the sponsorship landscape is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
