Who we are:

Blackpool Football Club is an English Professional Association Football Club based in the seaside town of Blackpool, Lancashire.

The club was founded in 1887 and has a very storied history, from being a founding member of the Lancashire League in 1889, rising to the Top-Flight of the Football League (the old First Division) in 1930, to winning the FA Cup in 1953 and being promoted to the Premier League in 2010 (becoming the first Club to gain promotion from every division of the Football League via the play-off system.)

The team are currently competing in Skybet League One, the third tier of the English Football League. The Club have played their home games at Bloomfield Road since 1901.

About the role:

The Club is currently seeking experienced control room staff to work on matchdays/major events, on a casual basis, at Bloomfield Road. You will operate as an ambassador for the Club and provide a best-in-class service in order to enhance the fan and customer experience, whilst ensuring safety and security standards are maintained at all times.

The main purpose of the role is to safeguard the public, supporters, protect property, and ensure the security of data. You will be entrusted with many responsibilities, ranging from operating and monitoring banks of screens, reporting incidents as evidence, and liaising with the Deputy Ground Safety Manager / Ground Safety Manager.

Suitable candidates should be smart, friendly, and confident when dealing with members of the public.


Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Effectively monitor the CCTV system on match day / events days and take any remedial or immediate action and notification as appropriate to events reported.
• Produce and maintain continuity of all detailed records or evidential material required in a clear, concise, legible accurate format.
• To communicate with other Staff and external agencies in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
• To carry out match day / event day equipment checks and report all equipment faults to the Deputy GSM / Ground Safety Manager.
• Additional duties as reasonably requested by the Deputy GSM / Ground Safety Manager.
• To adhere to the Club’s Safeguarding Policy at all times.
• To promote a safe and healthy working environment for all players and staff
• To promote a professional image of the club and themselves at all times.
• To contribute to identifying and undertaking initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery.
• To work with and support other team members as required ensuring effective and efficient service is developed and delivered.
• You will be expected to seek ways of updating and improving personal skills, knowledge and understanding relevant to your own job role.
