Job Description

Job Purpose
To support and develop the Academy Coaches, helping the coaches to improve and perform to the best of their potential.
 
Key Accountabilities:
Development of Academy Coaches within the Academy programme.
Implementing a coaching programme of the highest quality for all Academy Coaches.
Responsible for designing and delivering the Club’s Continued Professional Development programme, which shall reflect the Club’s Playing Philosophy and Coaching Philosophy and each coach’s Coach Competency Framework for all the Club’s Academy coaches
Leading on the departmental KPI’s. 
Attend all continued professional development events.
Actively engage in a fully functioning competency framework and integrated appraisal process.
Monitor the wellbeing of Academy players at all times liaising with the Club Safeguarding Team.
Ensure compliance with all the Policies and Procedures contained within the Staff Handbook, paying particular regard to the Equal Opportunities Policy and Health & Safety Policy and procedures at all times.

ESSENTIAL - QUALIFICATIONS
UEFA A License
FA Advanced Youth Award.
FA Youth Award.
EFAiF.
FA Safeguarding certification.
DBS Certificate is required
 
DESIRABLE - QUALIFICATIONS
UEFA PRO License
Coaching related degree qualification.
QTS.
Leadership Qualification
EHOC.
European Mentoring and Coaching Council Foundation Award.
 
ESSENTIAL
Ability to deliver high quality coaching sessions.
Ability to build and maintain relationships
Ability to design and implement a high-quality coaching program for the Academy.
Experience developing coaches.
Experience working within academy football.
 
DESIRABLE
Extensive experience developing coaches.
Previous experience working with all phases.
Previous experience working within senior football.
