Location: South West Wales

Reporting to: Education Manager

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary: £24,000 - £27,000

Job Role:  Premier League Inspires Coordinator

 

Job Purpose: To coordinate and deliver the Premier League Inspires project in secondary schools across South West Wales. Premier League Inspires uses the appeal of the Premier League and professional football clubs to support 11-25-year-olds who are marginalised or at risk of not reaching their potential; supporting them as they move through the education system and early adulthood. Under the Premier League Inspires brand, Swans Foundation delivers Health and Wellbeing interventions, Princes Trust Achieve qualifications, collapsed curriculum days, social action projects and a range of other educational activities.

 

Responsibilities:

·       To deliver all elements of the Premier League Inspires project, designing and delivering engaging classroom activities to at-risk young people in secondary schools.

·       To work in accordance with all Foundation safeguarding policies and procedures.

·       To build strong relationships with secondary school across south-west Wales, recruiting new schools to the project and consolidating links with existing partners.

·       Work with other Foundation staff to deliver a range of activities outside of project KPI’s such as transition days and workshops that support beneficiaries and meet Foundation aims and objectives.

·       Ensure that all data is collected and processed correctly and accurately, is up to date and uploaded to our online monitoring system, Salesforce.

·       To ensure Premier League Inspires project outcomes are met.

·       To support on Youth Voice activities to allow participant input into the content of the project.

·       To contribute to the evaluation of the Premier League Inspires project.

·       To ensure all relevant qualifications are kept up to date.

·       To act as a point of contact with project funders on all matters relating to the Premier League Inspires project

·       While not the main purpose of the role, to be prepared and able to step in and deliver provision as and when required by other Foundation training projects.

·       To complete monitoring returns and constantly review the programme to ensure the desired outcomes are achieved.

·       Attend additional training and CPD opportunities linked to the role.

·       Lead on the delivery of engaging football and multisport activities in areas of deprivation as part of the PL Kicks/PCC project.

·       To be responsible for the recruitment of participants to PL Kicks sessions.  This can involve the delivery of taster sessions in schools as well as the circulation of high-quality marketing materiel provided by the club marketing team.   

·       To provide line management to a team of local casual staff and volunteers who will support delivery.  This will include conducting regular supervision and feedback sessions to ensure sessions are delivered to the highest quality. 

·       To work closely with local communities to identify suitable locations for the delivery of PL Kicks, and to ensure our Kicks offer continues to meet the needs of these communities.

·       To plan and deliver fun, engaging and age-appropriate practical sessions at our holiday time soccer camps.

·       Act as a positive role model, to engage and inspire all pupils/participants.

·       To represent Premier League Inspires & Swansea City AFC Foundation at relevant activities, conferences, competitions and other events relating to the project.
