About the opportunity: For decades, our Club’s Academy has been one of the most respected and renowned in football, and its vision to develop young players who are technically and tactically capable of playing for the Men’s 1st Team or having a career in the professional game remains as focused as ever. Because of this we are now looking for an ambitious and motivated Academy Recruitment & Loans Analyst to join our Academy Recruitment Team at Finch Farm. 

Supporting the Club Pathway Mission to produce Academy Graduates you will work closely with the Academy recruitment colleagues and Men’s 1st Team Recruitment to capture, code, and analyse, potential scouting targets; whilst also providing support and analysis of current loan players. 

Other key responsibilities as part of this role include: 

  • Video work within the department, innovating & developing new methods of identifying talent 

  • Performing video scouting work to develop and enhance the club database – both investigatory and follow up on key player 

  • Creating & maintaining databases on key players, targets and players of interest  

  • Managing the academy HUDL System for key videos, players and reviews on a weekly basis  

  • Drive and enhance the use of data and video analysis in the Academy department 

  • Help to create unity with processes in line with the Men’s 1st Team Recruitment department 

  • Supporting & enhancing dossiers for key academy target players, including the provision of data insights 

  • Collaborating with the insights team to conduct research projects & develop benchmarks to support strategic decision-making and provide data driven insights. 

Who we are looking for: Essentially, we are looking for a talented and confident Analyst who has previous experience in working with data and has knowledge and understanding of Sports Code & player analysis, as well as possessing an accurate awareness of Clubs, including competitive level, playing philosophy and squad profile positions. 

You will be confident in communicating with all stakeholders as you will be leading the development and implementation of business intelligence and analytics strategies and really proving why data is important to a football club like ours.
