Job Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Strength and Conditioning Coach who will be responsible for designing and implementing strength, conditioning, and fitness programs for our football team. The ideal candidate will enhance our athletes’ physical performance, reduce injury risks, and contribute positively to the team dynamics.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive strength, conditioning, and fitness programs tailored to the specific needs of football players.
  • Conduct assessments to monitor player progress and adjust programs as necessary to maximise effectiveness.
  • Work closely with the coaching staff to integrate conditioning programs with football tactics and strategies.
  • Educate players on nutrition, recovery techniques, and injury prevention.
  • Collaborate with medical and coaching staff to manage injuries and facilitate rehabilitation.
  • Lead and supervise training sessions ensuring proper technique and safety.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current fitness trends and best practices in sports conditioning.
  • Manage and organise training equipment and facilities.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or similar certification.
  • Proven experience as a strength and conditioning coach in a team setting, with experience in football preferred.
  • Deep understanding of sports biomechanics, nutrition, and sports psychology.
  • Excellent communication and motivational skills.
  • Ability to design and execute individual and group fitness programs.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
