Job Description

The Marketing & Community Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for leading marketing and community development efforts.  They will serve as a vital part of the marketing team by managing and executing partnerships within the community.  This position will report to the Director of Marketing.  
 
This is a full-time exempt position with competitive benefits and paid time off.  Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed for matches and other community events. 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 
 
Marketing
  • Proactive in researching and coordinating representation of both clubs at events to increase brand awareness within the community.
  • Coordinates requests for player and coach appearances with technical staff. 
  • Works with the Director of Marketing to recruit and manage interns. 
  • Manage game day activities such as execution of pre-game ceremonies, in-game activations, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Assist Director of Marketing to fulfill strategic marketing objectives and responsibilities. 
  • Prepares and implements marketing e-communications and data generation. 
  • Maintains inventory of promotional materials by placing orders and verifying receipt. 
  • Captures, records, and organizes data to develop new fans and drive brand knowledge. 
  • Maintains a detailed calendar of upcoming events and outreach opportunities. 
  • Explores opportunities for professional development. 
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Community Engagement
  • Commitment to the vision & mission of Soccer Holdings, LLC subsidiaries including Louisville City FC, Racing Louisville, FC, and the Youth Academy.  
  • Development and execution of community relations strategies based on the organization’s civic pillars.
  • Acts as a brand ambassador for Louisville City FC and Racing Louisville FC to drive growth within the community.
  • Actively seeks to build community partnerships and develop strategic initiatives that align with the organization’s mission. 
  • Recruits, engages, develop, and execute community partnerships that align with the club’s community initiative.
  • Responsible for facilitating donation inquiries and requests, including tracking, and reporting of requests. 
  • Plans and executes volunteer opportunities to drive community engagement initiates. 
  • Serves as point person with supporter groups in conjunction with executive leadership. 
  • Schedules and hosts regular meetings with executive leadership and supporter group leaders to share updates and develop game day traditions and supporter relations.
  • Strategize plans to add additional supporter groups for Louisville City FC and Racing Louisville FC, both locally and beyond
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sports administration, or related field. 
  • Previous experience working with professional sports teams or marketing preferred, but not required. 
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.  
  • Must be self-motivated and detail oriented. 
  • Comfortable speaking with public speaking and addressing large groups. 
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Able present a positive and professional image of the organization. 
  • Passionate about expanding community relations and brand. 
  • Able to work individually and in a collaborate environment. 
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary during playing season. 
  • Proficient in working with Microsoft office suite. 
  • Successful completion of pre-employment comprehensive background check.
  • Must be legally authorized or able to obtain authorization to work in the US.
