Our team is a dedicated women's football club that plays and trains at the historic Fog Lane Park. Our team participates in local leagues and aims to excel through strategic training and focused coaching.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Goalkeeper Coach to join our coaching staff. This specialised coaching role focuses on developing our goalkeepers’ technical skills, tactical awareness, and mental resilience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in coaching soccer goalkeepers, understand the dynamics of women's soccer, and be able to motivate and develop players at all levels.


  • Design and implement specialised training programs for goalkeepers.
  • Conduct training sessions that focus on techniques such as shot stopping, distribution, positioning, and communication.
  • Assess goalkeepers’ performances in both training and match environments and provide constructive feedback.
  • Work closely with the head coach to integrate goalkeeper training with team tactics.
  • Monitor the physical condition of the goalkeepers and collaborate with the physiotherapy staff to prevent injuries.
  • Prepare goalkeepers for match play with tailored pre-game routines and strategic insights.
  • Support the mental development of goalkeepers, enhancing their decision-making and stress management skills during games.
  • Attend all team training sessions on Thursday evenings and matches on Sundays to provide coaching and tactical support.


  • Proven experience as a soccer goalkeeper coach, with specific expertise in women’s or youth soccer preferred.
  • Strong understanding of goalkeeper techniques and game strategies specific to soccer.
  • Excellent communication and motivational skills.
  • Ability to provide feedback effectively and foster a positive training environment.
  • Relevant coaching certifications (e.g. FA, UEFA Goalkeeping License).
  • First Aid and CPR certified or willing to obtain certification.
