Job Description

This Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to promote the Maryland Soccer Foundation, Maryland SoccerPlex, Adventist HealthCare Fieldhouse, Soccer Association of Montgomery (SAM) and all other internal programs and offerings.  You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent brand messaging and successful marketing campaigns. The successful candidate will use a proven track record in marketing, a passion for sports, and the ability to drive results to improve the marketing reach and visibility of these departments.  The Marketing Manager will also assist with strategy and execution of an overall sponsorship program to grow sponsorship revenue and executed sponsorship deliverables.
  • Develop and execute overall marketing strategy and plan for Maryland Soccer Foundation and its entities to meet objectives for all advertising and public-facing communications including print and digital assets.
  • Set, maintain, and analyze all marketing goals, projects, and campaigns for MSF.
  • Maintain (and troubleshoot as needed) company website.
  • Monitor and maintain all social media channels for the Maryland Soccer Foundation.
  • Identfiy effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis and optimize accordingly.
  • Work with program managers to ensure registration cycles are up to date and created in a timely manner.
  • Lead and manage content coordinator, providing guidance, setting goals, and ensuring the successful execution of marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor and analyze key marketing performance metrics, such as website traffic, program registrations, social media engagement, and customer feedback, and provide regular reports to management to evaluate campaign effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging marketing techniques, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to continuously innovate and improve marketing strategies.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as media partners, sponsors, community organizations, and influencers, to maximize brand exposure and drive collaborative marketing initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Identify potential sponsorship assets and sponsorship targets.
  • Create yearly customer demographics reports for potential sponsors.
  • Collaborate with sponsors to ensure all deliverables are met.
  • Develop sponsorship pitch deck and presentations for potential sponsors.

  • Develop and execute yearly marketing budget.
  • Perform contact database management including doing quarterly updates and reporting.
  • Develop marketing internship program and manage all marketing department inters.
  • Assist with events as needed including marketing and event operations.
  • Manage program surveys and reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Extensive knowledge about youth sports and particularly the soccer community in the United States. 
  • Superior oral and written communications skills.
  • Effective organizational skills for managing multiple tasks. 
  • Extensive knowledge of Social Media Channels.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Upbeat and positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of social media management software i.e Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Sprinklr, etc...
  • Experience interacting with children aged 5-13 is a plus.
  • Video editing abilities are a plus.
  • Photography abilities are a plus.
  • Spanish Fluency is a plus.
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work weekends, nights and irregular hours as needed.
  • Ability to work in varying climates including extreme cold and heat.
  • Valid Driver’s License and safe driving record.
  • Reliable transportation. 
  • Employment contingent upon successful completion of a background check and proof of COVID vaccination.
  • Travel limited to local area for meetings and events and occasional out of area conferences.
Salary and Benefits
  • Salary Range - $50,000-$65,000
