Job Description

Job title: Youth Development Phase Coach (GU15 or GU16s)
Reports to: Women’s Academy Manager
Location: The American Express Elite Performance Centre, Lancing
Hours per week: 21 – to be worked flexibly alongside the Girls Academy training schedule
Contract: Permanent
Salary: FTE £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (£15,000 - £18,000 prorated)

Roles and responsibilities

• To work closely with & support the Lead Phase Coach (GU15-GU16) on all matters of programme delivery and player development throughout the season.
• To support the coordination of the GU16 and/or GU15 Girls academy squad in line with the BHAFC club philosophy and Women’s & Girls pathway objectives, with the responsibility to coach on a regular basis.
• To plan, deliver, evaluate, and measure a training syllabus for these age groups which fulfils the criteria set out in the Professional Games Academy for Tier 1 status academies.
• To support the planning & delivery of the GU16 and/or GU15 games programme, appropriate for the needs of the individual player, alongside the group.
• To provide appropriate playing opportunities for all squad players. dual registrations and trialists in co-ordination with the appropriate staff.
• To monitor, assess and record the players progress in the GU16 and/or GU15 squads in training and in match performances, contributing to player audit reports throughout the season.
• To be part of the team of multidisciplinary staff to develop a Player Development programme which maximises the opportunities for young players to reach their full potential across all age groups.
• To support the coordination, production and updating of individual development plans and the player 1-2-1 review process for the GU16 and/or GU15 age groups throughout the season.
• To support and facilitate player transition between Youth Development (GU16) and Professional Development (WU19) phases, communicating with the appropriate MDT staff.
• To contribute in the recruitment process where appropriate.
• To contribute to and take part in a programme of continuing professional development.
• To undertake administrative tasks related to the role, including fixture programming, record keeping and player reporting.
• To undertake safeguarding and welfare duties and contribute to parents’ evenings, meetings and maintain relationships with parents, teachers and other appropriate persons.
• To provide feedback and information and contribute to the club player auditing process.
• To attend meetings on a regular basis as directed by the Girl’s Academy Manager.

• To undertake other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time
