Fan Experience Manager
NJ/NY Gotham FC (“Gotham FC” or “the Club”) is a National Women’s Soccer League (“NWSL”) team representing New Jersey and New York. The team plays at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ.
The Role:
Gotham FC is seeking a Fan Experience Manager who will report to the Interim Head of Fan Experience & Community Impact. This position plays a pivotal role in bringing to life our gameday experience as well as other fan-facing events throughout the season, with the goal of making Gotham FC an unforgettable fan experience. The successful candidate will be a creative and fast thinker with the ability to lead and execute, and a love for onsite experiences and in-person events. 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Flawlessly execute the gameday experience strategy, inclusive of pre, during & postgame programming.  
  • In collaboration with all departments, in particular gameday operations, partnership marketing, and social, ensure all elements of gameday activations run smoothly & in an on-brand manner. 
  • Responsible for leading & organizing high-priority events outside of gameday, specifically for Season Ticket Members, Founder Club Members, and supporter groups.
  • Own year-round merchandise strategy and be the key point of contact for our merchandise vendors, including the development of new drops. 
  • Source & manage vendors & subsequent relationships for onsite activations, from transportation to giveaways or other promotional activities. 
  • Be a key liaison to Gameday Presentation, taking an active role in entertainment-centered components of in-bowl activations, from music to emcees to other fan-focused activities. 
  • Oversee & actively manage a team of gameday staffers who will be responsible for gameday activations, guest management & entertainment.
  • Own gameday and event satisfaction reporting, ensuring clear KPIs are set and tracked for each event. 
  • Deeply organized; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously & effectively. 
  • Demonstrated experience developing consumer-centric strategies using data at the core of decision making. 
  • Experience in live events, production, and marketing.
  • Strong ability to manage crisis situations & think on their feet. 
  • Ability to both lead and follow, using sound judgement to support Gotham FC initiatives at all times.
  • Outstanding verbal communication skills and ability to manage and motivate a team. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications preferred.
Capability & Other Characteristics:
  • Love for onsite experiences and in-person events is a must! 
  • Creative thinker & ability to come up with new ideas to constantly improve the fan experience. 
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States. 
Based at Gotham FC’s business office, which will be located in Jersey City, New Jersey, on a hybrid working schedule which consists of three core in-office/in-person days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and two non-core days (Monday and Friday), with the option of being in the business office or remote. Ability to attend all home games and any mandatory events as well as away games, as necessary.  A willingness to travel for other business-related needs, as they arise. Ability to work at the team’s soccer operations office in Whippany, New Jersey, as needed. Gotham FC requires its associates to live in its market, that is, within reasonable commuting distance of Gotham FC’s offices, practice facility and Red Bull Arena.

Salary range:  $70,000 - $80,000 plus benefits
