Job Description Summary

The Sporting Kansas City Facilities Services Attendant is responsible for ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed to enhance the appearance and cleanliness of Children’s Mercy Park and other venues associated with Sporting Kansas City, providing guests and clients with a presentable area at all times.

 

 

Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Oversee and lead external or contracted cleaning crews hired by Sporting Kansas City, ensuring their responsibilities are completed in an efficient and effective manner.

  • Complete all routine, day-to-day cleaning tasks.

  • Ensure that all areas of responsibility during Sporting Kansas City games have an exceptional appearance and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness.

  • Attend to all radio calls pertaining to the designated areas of responsibility during Sporting Kansas City games.

  • Provide assistance and resources to the Events Team in regards to the setup and cleanup of various events.

  • Assist the Operations Team with various tasks as needed.

  • Assist in the coordination of guest services for various special events, discussing any needs and specific areas of the venue that may require additional attention.

  • Take proper safety precautions to protect others while using chemicals or operating machinery.

  • Maintain constant communication with the Facilities Services Coordinator to ensure that the Facility Services and Operations Team are working towards the same goal, putting on the best event possible to guests and clients.

  • Represent Sporting Kansas City and its related affiliates in a professional manner at all times.

  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma required, College Degree preferred.

  • Prior experience in a related routine building services cleaning position, preferably in an environment working with fans/guests.

  • Knowledge of various cleaning techniques and supplies.

  • Experience with cleaning machinery and driving motorized carts required.

  • Forklift Certification preferred.

  • Spanish speaking abilities helpful.

  • Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Calendar.
