Term: March to September 2025
Hours: Full-time Hours (Includes evenings and occasional weekends)
Compensation: TBD


Background:

Union FC (Bradford Soccer Club), founded in 1993, is a non-profit community organization that serves over 1,000 members. Union FC strives to bring people together through sport, providing everyone the opportunity to play soccer. Starting from a recreational level developing towards competitive academy level soccer, Union FC provides a pathway for elite players to obtain scholarships and a potential career in professional sport.


Overview:

Union Football Club is currently seeking candidates for a House League Coordinator position. This person will be responsible for overseeing the operation of the summer House League program, primarily focusing on the administrative aspects. Working closely with the General Manager and Technical Director of the Club, you will help deliver a highly organized and professional program to all members. You will work directly with members who attend weekly soccer sessions and will be the point of contact during this time.


Responsibilities:

• Organize and manage registration, scheduling, rostering, and communication via SportsEngine
• Administer recruitment, selection, and assignment of volunteer coaches
• Coordinate and distribute player uniforms and coach equipment
• Coordinate with the Head Referee to ensure referees are available and assigned for all games
• Coordinate the club’s photo day, medal day, and end-of-year festival
• Attend nightly games as the on-site liaison
• Communicate with coaches, players, and parents in person and via electronic communications
• Resolve minor problems within all HL divisions and report significant matters to club staff
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Board of Directors


Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program relevant to Business or Sport Management or has a bachelor’s degree in Business or Sport Management
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Knowledge and passion for the sport of soccer
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Professional, positive, energetic and people-oriented attitude
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficient computer skills, notably in Microsoft Office Applications
