The tournament: 
In 2020, the UEFA EURO was due to celebrate its 60th anniversary. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was postponed to 2021. With the aim to still celebrate its 60th anniversary, the tournament will still be played across 12 different European cities - bringing the EURO closer to the fans and celebrating the best of European football and culture. To make this all possible, we need fantastic, dedicated people in every area. 

 

The organisation: 

UEFA EURO 2020 is being managed in each participating country by the respective national federation on behalf of UEFA. As the Host Association and national federation for England, The FA is responsible for the overall delivery and coordination of the Local Organising Structure (LOS), working in partnership with the Greater London Authority (GLA) and Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS).

The function: 
The Event Transport team is responsible for providing safe, secure and reliable passenger transportation to specific target groups and to enforce seamless vehicle access and parking operations at the stadium. Please see below for information on each specific role. 

 

 

Target Group Operations Coordinator - Fixed term contract from 1st April to 16th July 2021 

The Target Group Operations Coordinator will be responsible for the implementation of Event Transport operations in London. This role reports directly to the Event Transport Manager. 

 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Act as the local contact person for all event transport target group owners, providing operational support and liaising with all internal stakeholders 
  • Regular liaison with Transport Manager and with UEFA Target Group Operations Coordinator 
  • Cooperate closely with event service providers on-site in order to guarantee the fulfilment of service requirements 
  • Support the recruitment of Target Group Assistant 
  • Lead the event transport target group operations in London 
  • Implement and adapt all event transport target group processes and procedures in accordance to guidelines from UEFA and service level agreements to local specificities  
  • Coordinate the provision of transportation services to all event transport target groups 
  • Ensure implementation of transport service levels according to UEFA guidelines 
  • Responsible for setting-up transportation requirements at UEFA target group hotels (transport desks, offices, transportation points, parking and staging areas) according to UEFA guidelines and service level agreements 
  • Ensure proper data collection of all event transport target group services in accordance to UEFA requirements 
  • Support Event Transport Manager on the implementation and follow-up of project plans 
  • Monitor progress and implementation of event transport target group operational plans by local operators 
  • Apply procedures with regards to cost control and supplier management in line with project guidelines 

 

Experience required: 

  • Proven experience working in transport operations 
  • Experience in guest management operations and customer service would be a plus 
  • Experience in managing suppliers 
  • Excellent project management skills

Vehicle Access & Parking Operations Coordinator – Fixed term contract from 1st June to 16th July 2021 

The Vehicle Access & Parking Coordinator will be responsible for the implementation of Event Transport in London. This role reports directly to the Event Transport Manager. 

 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Act as the local contact person with regards to all vehicle access and parking operations matters for all internal stakeholders and service providers  
  • Regular liaison with Event Transport Manager and with UEFA Event Transport Vehicle Access & Parking Domain Coordinator 
  • Cooperate closely with event service providers on-site in order to guarantee the fulfilment of service requirements 
  • Systematic application of safety and security best practices defined by Access Management and Safety, Security and Service in terms of vehicle access and vehicle-pedestrian segregation 
  • Support the recruitment of vehicle access & parking operations staff 
  • Lead the vehicle access & parking operations in London 
  • Implement and adapt all vehicles access and parking operations processes and procedures in accordance to guidelines from UEFA (Event Transport, Access Management and Security & Safety) and service level agreements to venue and local specificities 
  • Coordinate all venue transport operations during the match days 
  • Ensure implementation of vehicle access and parking allocation and operational plans 
  • Coordinate service provider and deployment of staff during the operations 
  • Ensure application of vehicle access and parking best practices according to UEFA guidelines and service requirements 
  • Manage the local distribution of parking passes 
  • Support Event Transport Manager on the implementation and follow-up of project plans 
  • Oversee and manages parking inventory and distribution of parking passes 
  • Apply procedures with regards to cost control and supplier management in line with project guidelines

London Heathrow Airport Supervisor – Fixed term contract from 3rd May to 14th July 2021 

The Airport Supervisor will be responsible for the implementation of Event Transport and Guest Management operations at the airports in London. This role reports directly to the Arrivals & Departures Coordinator. 

 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Support local coordination between airport operators, service providers and internal stakeholders, such as Supporter Travel & Mobility, Guest Management and Protocol and Team Services & Training Grounds 
  • Cooperate closely with event service providers on-site in order to guarantee the fulfilment of service requirements 
  • Support the arrivals & departures operations domain staff in the airports 
  • Implement and adapt all arrivals & departures processes and procedures in accordance to guidelines from UEFA and service level agreements to local airport specificities 
  • Support the provision of arrivals & departures services 
  • Support implementation of airport operational plans 
  • Responsible for setting-up and operating airport welcome services (desks, offices, transportation points and staging areas) according to UEFA guidelines and service level agreements 
  • Ensure transportation services for all target groups is provided according to service level agreements 
  • Ensure implementation of processes and procedures for Participating National Associations (PNA) arrivals & departures movements  
  • Ensure proper data collection of all arrivals & departures services in accordance to UEFA requirements

The Ports of Entry Allrounder will be responsible for the implementation of Event Transport and Guest Management operations at the participating London airports and train stations. This role reports directly to the Arrivals & Departures Coordinator. 

 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Support local coordination between airport operators, service providers and internal stakeholders, such as Supporter Travel & Mobility, Guest Management and Protocol and Team Services & Training Grounds 
  • Cooperate closely with event service providers on-site in order to guarantee the fulfilment of service requirements 
  • Facilitate the arrivals & departures operations at the Host City's secondary airports 
  • Facilitate the arrivals & departures of VIP's at the train stations in London 
  • Implement and adapt all arrivals & departures processes and procedures in accordance to guidelines from UEFA and service level agreements to local airport specificities 
  • Support the provision of arrivals & departures services in London 
  • Support implementation of airport and train station operational plans 
  • Responsible for setting-up and operating airport welcome services (desks, offices, transportation points and staging areas) according to UEFA guidelines and service level agreements 
  • Ensure transportation services for all UEFA target groups is provided according to service level agreements 
  • Ensure implementation of processes and procedures for Participating National Associations (PNA) arrivals & departures movements

  • Assist the event transport target group operations in London

The Airport Assistant will be responsible for the implementation of Event Transport and Guest Management operations at the airport located in London. This role reports to the Arrivals and Departures Coordinator. 

 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Assist local coordination between airport operators, service providers and internal stakeholders, such as Supporter Travel & Mobility, Guest Management and Protocol and Team Services & Training Grounds 
  • Cooperate closely with event service providers on-site in order to guarantee the fulfilment of service requirements 
  • Assist the arrivals & departures operations in the London airport(s) 
  • Apply all arrivals & departures processes and procedures in accordance to guidelines from UEFA and service level agreements 
  • Assist the provision of arrivals & departures services in London 
  • Support implementation of airport operational plans 
  • Responsible for setting-up airport welcome services (transportation desks, offices, transportation points and staging areas) according to UEFA guidelines and service level agreements 
  • Ensure transportation services for all UEFA target groups is provided according to service level agreements

Dispatch Agent – Fixed term contract from 3rd May to 14th July 2021 

The Dispatch Agent will be responsible for the provision of fleet services in London. This role reports to the Fleet & Bus Operations Coordinator. 

 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Act as the main operational contact for fleet service providers  
  • Cooperate closely with event service providers on-site in order to guarantee the fulfilment of service requirements 
  • Coordinate daily transport services and dispatching of drivers   
  • Implement and adapt all fleet operational processes and procedures in accordance to guidelines from UEFA and service level agreements 
  • Monitor of the activity of drivers and volunteers (according to the guidelines of the volunteer programme) at the fleet compound 
  • Oversee and coordinate the allocation of resources at the fleet compound 
  • Responsible for processing transfer requests data in FAME and EGON (EURO Ground Operations Network - Dispatch Tool) 
  • Implement process for transfer requests change management in London 
  • Apply fleet compound policies and procedures for staff and volunteers 
  • Ensure proper data collection of all fleet related services in accordance to UEFA requirements 
  • Support Event Transport Manager on the implementation and follow-up of project plans 
  • Apply procedures with regards to cost control and supplier management in line with project guidelines

The Fleet Agent will be responsible for the provision of fleet services in London. This role reports to the Fleet & Bus Coordinator. 

 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Act as the main operational contact for VIK (value in kind) and fleet support services providers   
  • Cooperate closely with event service providers on-site in order to guarantee the fulfilment of service requirements 
  • Coordinate daily transport services and dispatching of drivers 
  • Implement and adapt all fleet operational processes and procedures in accordance to guidelines from UEFA and service level agreements 
  • Support the monitoring of the activity of drivers and volunteers (according to the guidelines of the volunteer programme) at the fleet compound 
  • Implement processes and procedures to maintain fleet operational readiness 
  • Implement process for quality and cost control of all fleet support services  
  • Apply and enforce EURO 2020 fleet policies and procedures for staff and service providers 
  • Ensure proper data collection of all fleet related services in accordance to UEFA requirements 
  • Support Event Transport Manager on the implementation and follow-up of project plans 
  • Apply procedures with regards to cost control and supplier management in line with project guidelines
