Hospitality Venue Manager – Fixed term contract from 3rd May to 16th July 2021

The tournament: 
In 2020, the UEFA EURO was due to celebrate its 60th anniversary. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was postponed to 2021. With the aim to still celebrate its 60th anniversary, the tournament will still be played across 12 different European cities - bringing the EURO closer to the fans and celebrating the best of European football and culture. To make this all possible, we need fantastic, dedicated people in every area. 


The organisation: 

UEFA EURO 2020 is being managed in each participating country by the respective national federation on behalf of UEFA. As the Host Association and national federation for England, The FA is responsible for the overall delivery and coordination of the Local Organising Structure (LOS), working in partnership with the Greater London Authority (GLA) and Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS).

The function: 
The Hospitality Production team is responsible for planning, implementing and delivering various hospitality programs, catering, decoration and entertainment services for all the relevant target groups at a high level and in accordance with the agreed concepts, service levels and budgets. 

The team will manage the set-up and operational implementation of the UEFA 2020 Hospitality Programs at the venue and to ensure a smooth execution, allowing for a consistently high and professional delivery and a top-class experience to all hospitality guests. 


The Concessions  team is responsible for the planning and delivery of all ‘non-hospitality' catering services at UEFA EURO 2020. Our goal is to deliver a quality, value for money catering experience, demonstrating excellence and outstanding services across all areas.

Hospitality Venue Manager – Fixed term contract from 3rd May to 16th July 2021 

Key responsibilities

  • In charge of the hospitality facilities during the availability period including hand-over and final hand-back 
  • Responsible for the operational implementation of the VIP, Commercial Partners and Official Hospitality programs 
  • Manage the relevant suppliers ensuring a smooth and timely delivery of all services as per the agreed standards, layouts and service levels 
  • Be the main contact person for hospitality related suppliersvolunteers and UEFA internal counterparts 
  • Liaise with and coordinate between all hospitality suppliers (caterers, branding and decoration, entertainment, etc.) to ensure permanent, consistent and smooth implementation 
  • Collaborate closely with the relevant on-site counterparts at UEFA (e.g. Signage team, VIP Services team, etc.), the venue team and the stadium operator 
  • Liaise with all relevant internal and external stakeholders 
  • Day-to-day meetings with suppliers, regular reporting and debriefing as per UEFA requirements 
  • Provide reports and updates to the UEFA Hospitality Venue Manager 
  • Communicate updates in relation to guest numbers to all relevant stakeholders 
  • In charge of volunteer management, including volunteer training, shift planning and task assignment 
  • Assign tasks and define responsibilities for the Hospitality Venue Coordinator 
  • Support the UEFA Hospitality Venue Manager with the preparation of training for suppliers and guest hosts 
  • Participate to the training of suppliers and guest hosts 
  • Monitor the on-site deliveries and ensure adherence to the planned schedule 
  • Liaise with and oversee all relevant suppliers to ensure smooth set-up and implementation according to the approved hospitality concepts and timeline 
  • Check all on-site hospitality related directional signage 
  • Monitor event operations according to the required level of service and quality 
  • Ensure that H&S regulations are respected by all relevant parties 
  • Assess the performance of hospitality suppliers and measure KPI achievements in cooperation with UEFA Hospitality Venue Manager 
  • Troubleshoot on-site issues as they arise 


Experience required: 

  • Extensive experience in event/hospitality operations at major international events  
  • Solid experience in team management 
  • Excellent project management and communication skills 
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • Attention to detail combined with the ability to see the bigger picture 
  • Service and client-oriented approach 
  • Used to negotiation and dealing with suppliers 
  • Creative, open-minded and solution oriented 
  • Proactive and decision maker 
  • Ability to remain calm and perform well under pressure 
  • Ideally should be knowledgeable of Wembley stadium as a venue 



Concessions Coordinator – Fixed term contract from 3rd May to 16th July 2021 

Key responsibilities

  • Liaise and collaborate closely with the appointed venue concessionaire(s) and catering suppliers 
  • Collaborate and cooperate with UEFA Commercial Operations or Marketing team 
  • Act as primary contact for all concessions and other catering programmes matters 
  • Supervise the preparation and delivery of training for concessions and non-hospitality related catering programs team 
  • Assist suppliers in the mobilization of all catering operations 
  • Monitor relevant on-site deliveries 
  • Work with other projects, including Technical Services, IT and Signage to confirm provision of facilities 
  • Ensure all services are built to specification prior to service 
  • Coordinate Workforce Dining operations 
  • Ensure high standard of catering service delivery to Teams, Referees, Officials, Anti-Doping, Match Delegates and Media. 
  • Monitor Spectator Concessions operations 
  • Coordinate catering delivery to workforce celebratory events 
  • Ensure all delivered services meet service level agreement 
  • Assist in delivery and protection of Sponsors' rights 
  • Assess demand for services and provide feedback on daily volume adjustments 
  • Troubleshoot any issues which can be resolved at the venue 
  • Escalate any issues/risks to Hospitality Venue Manager 
  • Work with all relevant projects to ensure all needs within scope are fully met 
  • Coordinate daily service delivery timeline 
  • Liaise with appointed suppliers daily, ensuring agreed project timelines are on track 
  • Submit daily reports to UEFA Concessions Management Team 
  • Ensure appointed concessionaires adhere to agreed reporting deadlines 


Experience required: 

  • Experience in high-volume catering operations at major international events (ideally within the sports sector) 
  • Experience working with concessionaires and suppliers 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - particularly Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Word 
  • Analytical approach to reporting with an eye for detail and accuracy 
  • Ability and willingness to learn new software packages 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Must be consumer-minded focused on delivering service excellence 
  • Able to perform well under pressure 
  • Solution-oriented 
  • Team player
