This is a new and exciting opportunity to support the West Ham United Women’s Team and Academy. The Operations Assistant will support the day-to-day operations to organise team logistics along with supporting the Women’s Academy.
At West Ham United Women, our goal is competing at the highest level of Women’s football in the WSL. The Operations Assistant role will be to support the management team to organise and support every aspect of the women’s team, from co-ordinating travel to and form games, match day activities at our home ground, liaison with external stakeholders and general admin duties. You will be fully supported by the WHUW management team and wider Club Operations staff in building sustainable success for the club moving forward. Attendance at home matches and travelling with the team to away matches is an essential part of the role.
We are looking for an individual who has experience or knowledge in a sporting or a business administrative environment and shows a keen desire to work in Women’s football.
Key Responsibilities:
* Main administrative point of contact for the Women’s Team.
* Main administrative point of contact for the Women’s Academy.
* Oversee the logistics of organising home and away match days.
* Oversee the logistics for team and player travel.
General Duties
* Support the General Manager & First Team Manager with general administrative duties that help the day to day running of the football club.
Home Match Day Planning
* Co-ordinate pre match briefings before every home fixture.
* Lead of all printing and distributing accreditation for staff.
* Lead on arranging player & staff complimentary tickets.
* Liaise with D&R staff to ensure everything is booked and ready for the game.
* Main point of contact for operational department for all enquiries pre match and match day.
* Be on call during each match for any operational assistance for first team or WHUW staff.
Away Match Day Planning
* Support GM with planning and booking all aspects of team travel for away fixtures.
* Liaise and organise with Away Club in planning for the upcoming match.
* Lead on arranging player & staff complimentary tickets.
* Main point of contact for operational department for all enquiries pre match and match day
* Be on call during each match for any operational assistance for first team or WHUW staff.
Academy
* Support the academy manager with operational duties to ensure the players are supported and academy adheres to PGA criteria.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential
* Experience and/or qualifications in a business or elite sporting environment
* Excellent organisational, administrative and IT skills
Desirable (but not essential)
* Educated to a high level (A-Level/degree)
* Experience of working in an elite sporting environment
