We are looking for a highly proactive and organised Licensing Executive to join our team and play a key role in the continuing development of the Club’s brand licensing programme. The role will report into the Licensing Lead with a focus on the day-to-day management of several core elements of the licensing programme.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the day-to-day management of licensees, including managing the product approval process, organising royalty reports and developing strong relationships with licensees to support revenue growth and fan engagement
* Managing the approval process from initial designs through sampling stages, ensuring licensees produce best-in-class products in line with the Club’s brand
* Proactively requesting, organising and analysing royalty reports and tracking them in overview documents
* Working closely with Partnership Management and Marketing teams to support the delivery of licensing partner rights, including player appearances
* Researching options to upgrade licensing processes via an online system, providing recommendations and ultimately managing the implementation
* Onboarding new licensees; sharing assets, brand guidelines and explaining processes
* Tracking licensing contract rights and maintaining overview documents
* Ensuring all licensee manufacturing information is filed and up to date
* Supporting the organisation of licensee events and attendance at industry trade shows like Brand Licensing Europe
Person Specification
Minimum 1-2 years work experience in a relevant field, ie Brand Licensing, Consumer Products or Sport
Highly driven to achieve elite outcomes in a fast-paced environment through a proactive and energetic approach
Process-driven with impeccable attention to detail
A high degree of numeracy; comfortable analysing financial data
Excellent planning and organisational skills, underscored by an ability to prioritise an array of tasks
Natural relationship management skills, including with senior stakeholders
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Comfortable engaging with elite athletes when supporting on player commercial appearances
A good understanding of commercial agreements
Keen interest in football culture and/or the wider sport industry
Desirable:
* Good awareness of current consumer trends and the retail landscape, including sustainability best practices
* An understanding of the product development cycle
* Experience using an online system to manage product approvals and process royalty reports
