Job Description

The tournament: 

In 2020, the UEFA EURO was due to celebrate its 60th anniversary. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was postponed to 2021. With the aim to still celebrate its 60th anniversary, the tournament will still be played across 12 different European cities - bringing the EURO closer to the fans and celebrating the best of European football and culture. To make this all possible, we need fantastic, dedicated people in every area. 


 

The organisation: 

UEFA EURO 2020 is being managed in each participating country by the respective national federation on behalf of UEFA. As the Host Association and national federation for England, The FA is responsible for the overall delivery and coordination of the Local Organising Structure (LOS), working in partnership with the Greater London Authority (GLA) and Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS).

The function: 

The Commercial Operations team is responsible for delivering to the highest standard, the on-site marketing rights granted to the Commercial Partners of UEFA EURO 2020™ and supporting the Commercial Partners with their activation programme, protecting UEFA's commercial interests at the UEFA EURO 2020™ venue. The team will be the main point of contact for the various sponsor representatives active at the venue 



Key responsibilities: 

  • Support the UEFA appointed Venue Marketing Operations Manager in leading the Venue Marketing Team 
  • Ensure that all marketing rights are delivered to the highest standard, in a smooth and efficient manner, including the clean site principles 
  • Implement the pre-defined on-site operational projects related to Commercial Display, Advertising Boards and Branded SignageDelivery of Value In Kind productsF&B ConcessionsMerchandise ConcessionsYouth ProgrammesSole & Exclusive ProgrammesGiant Screen 
  • In collaboration with the Venue Marketing Team, manage efficiently the late requests and/or distribution of TicketsAccreditation Devices and Parking Passes 
  • Manage efficiently the operational elements of Official Photo and Filming CrewVenue ToursGiftsStadium Offices 
  • Monitor on-site Commercial Partner activities 
  • Support in planning and allocating the various tasks among the Venue Marketing Team together with the Venue Marketing Operations Manager 
  • Manage efficiently and respectfully the assigned volunteers 
  • Attend the venue team meetings and along with the Venue Marketing Operations Manager and act as an expert of the Marketing Programme within the venue 
  • Report regularly on venue team activities to Regional Venue Marketing Manager 

 

Experience required: 

  • Previous experience in the operational delivery of marketing rights at top international sport events 
  • Strong leadership skills anmust have experience managing a small team 
  • Organisational skills and must have a good attention to detail 
  • Excellent time management skills 
  • Willing and able to work long hours
