Accountable to: Fundraising & Partnerships Manager

Hours: Full Time (08:30-17:00)

Contract Type: Permanent


What is the role?

To coordinate and deliver fundraising activities for Saints Foundation to generate unrestricted income, with a specific accountability for individual and events fundraising. You will develop strong relationships with individuals and local organisations, coordinate the donor database to ensure that all supporters are effectively managed and create a range of innovative and engaging events and activities which will be the focal point to engage and activate our donors.

In addition, you are very organised, have a good eye for detail and a good understanding of the importance of stewardship and its role in successful fundraising. 

The competencies which are required include:

Essential Experience:

  • Experience of working in the charity and/or fundraising sector.
  • Experience of working effectively in a multi-faceted fundraising department with exposure to and awareness of fundraising processes.
  • A track record in generating significant income through events and activities.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining internal and external relationships with key stakeholders for positive outcomes.
  • Experience of managing donations and gift, and stewardship processes.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience and understanding of fundraising regulations, including the Code of Fundraising Practice, licensing, Gift Aid, etc.
  • Experience of creating and coordinating online fundraising activities.

Desirable Qualifications (including certifications):

  • Degree level qualification in a relevant area or equivalent.
  • Diploma in Fundraising or similar qualification.

  • Outstanding ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of people, both within businesses and the community.
  • A proactive self-starter who is able to work under their own initiative.
  • Able to work well in a team environment and understand their individual contribution in the team dynamic.
  • A passion for the cause and a desire to effectively tell the participants’ story.
  • Think and perform commercially, negotiate effectively whilst ensuring the quality of the end product.
  • Deliver original, inspirational and quality work.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a hands-on approach to getting things done.
  • Influential communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with various personalities at various levels within the Company.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office packages, specifically MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Excel.
