Club Overview:
FC Tucson was founded in 2010 by a local group of dedicated Tucsonans who wanted to elevate the sport and bring professional soccer to the City of Tucson. Since that time, FC Tucson has been responsible for helping to put Tucson on the national stage by hosting the annual MLS pre-season training events as well as developing America’s top Players who have gone on to become MLS and US Men’s National Team Members. This year marks the 10th anniversary of FC Tucson and the Club intends to enter the new decade with a commitment to showcasing top talent and bringing the community together in a whole new fashion. You can expect the Club to make investments in building a winning team on the pitch and hiring talented front office staff with the goal of enhancing the game day experience while forming a patchwork of community initiatives that are uniquely Tucson. #itstartsintucson
 Position Overview: 
This position will oversee all ‘sponsor’ aspects of the club -- both selling & activation.  This position will report to the Club President.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and provide strategic direction for day-to-day department operations, including monitoring and forecasting revenues. 
  • Generate sales & partnership marketing of all sponsorship inventory (e.g., pro team, new stadium, etc.).
  • Management of staff and overall corporate sales function (including personal selling of sponsorships).
  • Implement organized systems, process, and measurements to effectively and efficiently manage department.
  • Write and develop proposals and materials.
  • Maintain communicative and collaborative working relationships with other internal departments
  • Hire all department staff from scratch, with the goal to facilitate ownership’s goal to create a first-class environment for a professional soccer team.

  • Be an ambassador on behalf of the Club within the “corporate” community.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Club.
Essential Skills, Experience & Abilities:  
  • Local candidates highly preferred
  • Strong sales and sales management background in the area of professional team sports, large sports-related media companies, major sports/entertainment events and/or other related industries.  
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills. Must be a team builder and team player. Must have the ability to relate professionally to all levels of staff, management, clientele, etc. 
  • A proven strategic thinker who will embrace the sales process in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Outgoing, sales-oriented individual who develops & builds strong relationships with third-parties.
  • Able to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, within a team atmosphere.
  • Ability to speak Spanish is preferred, but not required.
