Job Description

Hours: Between 2-5hrs a week. May increase.

For: The AG5 Academy – Man City & England Lioness Alex Greenwood’s Football Academy. Inspiring the next generation of players to play the game.

Location: Flexible but within central Manchester or Liverpool area

Pay: Hourly rate DOE

Contract: Part time, contractor

This is an exciting opportunity to work with us to set up a second site for The AG5 Academy following on from the huge success of our first site.

About You: The individual will have;

Experience & Qualifications

 

  • Significant experience of working in female football and youth football
  • Experience of working with talented players
  • Excellent understanding of the girls talent pathway in the country
  • FA DBS check
  • FA Safeguarding Children Workshop
  • FA Emergency Aid/ FA Level 1 Introduction to First Aid in Football
  • FA Level 3 Coaching Award (minimum)

Skills and personal attributes

 

  • Well-presented and professional
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to build excellent working relationships with managers, colleagues and staff
  • Help with sourcing and hiring of assistant coaches for their site
  • High level of integrity and discretion
  • Strong work ethic with a can-do attitude with drive and self-motivation
  • Ability to use communication and some social media platforms
  • Accuracy and attention to detail including good written and verbal skills
  • Driving license (required)
  • Have strong connections with local sports venues/halls (desirable)
  • Use of a van/storage facility (desirable)

 

Duties

  • Plan, deliver and review training sessions
  • Help drive numbers of attendees to the Academy
  • Help source suitable venues (indoor and outdoor) depending on the season
  • Work with more junior staff to run the sessions
  • Provide feedback to players
  • Support the development of a positive culture within the Academy
  • Maintain a safe environment for everyone at all times
  • Collaborate with other staff to develop a progressive learning environment

Other responsibilities:

 

  • Be available to travel to other sites outside of their region (on occasion, if required)
  • Self-assess and work on own personal and professional development
