Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC of the USL Championship is seeking passionate and hardworking MMJ/Communications interns for 2021.
Description: MMJ/Communications interns assist in content ideas, write and edit articles for the website, conduct interviews and research of the professional soccer team, and assist in creating social media content. This is an unpaid internship that can be taken for college credit.
Write and edit news stories, feature articles, and press releases
Assist in creating content schedules for social media channels
Assist with media relations responsibilities on game days
Serve as an “in-house” writer, stay up to date on the news surrounding the professional team, interview players and coaches conduct sports information research
This position will help create communications content for the Riverhounds Academy, as well as the professional soccer team
Required knowledge, skill, and ability:
Current college/university student studying Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field
Must have a working knowledge of soccer
Strong writing and communications skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays when needed
Attend all professional team home games
Proficient with YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, TikTok
Proficient with Microsoft Office, knowledge with Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus
