Hull City Academy are looking for a Casual Physiotherapist / Sports Therapist to assist in the delivery of the academy medical provision covering the Under 9’s to Under 16’s programmes. The successful applicant will work within a developing, elite sporting environment as part of a multidisciplinary team.
This role will be on a casual basis, with the expectation that the successful candidate will support Academy squads during games/tournaments and training sessions, which can cover evenings and weekends and may include travel within the UK. There may also be further opportunities for national and international travel over the course of the season. Candidates must also be willing to complete a DBS check.

Rate of Pay: £13.38 per hour

Your key responsibilities
- To fulfil the role of a Physiotherapist / Sports Therapist in the assessment, diagnosis and rehabilitation of U9s-U16s players on a sessional basis.
- To assist in the delivery of on-field pitch-based rehabilitation sessions as requested for U9s to U16s players.
- Communicate with full time academy Physiotherapists to ensure continuity of care of academy players (U9s-U16s).
- To maintain all legal and professional qualifications in relation to the position within the Club and keep up to date with and satisfy all professional regulations.
- To observe, monitor and react to the ever-evolving world of Sports Medicine, keeping up to date with all current research developments and changes in professional regulations.
- To ensure the latest clinical, scientific and technical innovations to practice are incorporated into maintaining the highest level of care.
- This position will require close working relationships with the Sports Science and Physical Performance staff as part of the Sports Medicine and Science Department to plan an “evidence based” thorough rehabilitation plans for medium and long term injured players.
- To attend and professionally engage in the internal emergency aid training and CPD programme.
- To be responsible for providing emergency aid cover for Academy training sessions accompanying teams on match days as required.
- To fulfil the role of a physiotherapist/sports therapist in the assessment, diagnosis and rehabilitation of all injuries.
- To maintain detailed records for all activities in the department in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures and to comply with the Core Standards of Physiotherapy practice.
