The SIMA Staff Goalkeeping Coach will work alongside the SIMA Staff Coaches and the SIMA Director of Methodology to ensure that the day-to-day operations of the SIMA program are implemented according to the agreed upon strategy while continuing to support the overall mission of Montverde Academy. The primary role is to plan and lead goalkeeping specific sessions for the SIMA program goalkeeper student-athletes. The goal is to become a valuable resource for the students, parents and staff of the SIMA program as they will consistently interact with all three groups in this role. The aim is for the Staff Goalkeeping Coach to offer the necessary support to each goalkeeper to help them succeed and ultimately realize their potential.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Methodology:
    • Daily planning of training sessions.
    • Weekly and monthly tactical periodization per group.
    • Prepare goalkeeper evaluations.
    • Weekly assessment of grade guardian.
    • Develop goalkeepers based on SIMA Values and Methodology.
    • Creation of action plans to align with SIMA expectations.
    • Organize weekly goalkeeper rotation.
    • Keep track of game time per goalkeeper.
  • Scouting:
    • Prospecting new candidates domestically via ID sessions/Camps.
    • Create data base of international/domestic goalkeepers.
    • Use of social media to promote the SIMA program and the GK department.
    • Assist with Re-enrollment process (Second semester).
  • Communication:
    • Manage communication with families.
    • Record and edit videos from training/games.
    • Assist with marketing projects and social media.
    • Maintain an open communication with athletic trainers to evaluate RTP protocols.
    • Follow up with Alumni (Pro/College)

Physical requirements: 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. 
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the Academy’s facilities.
