The Howard Payne men’s soccer program is accepting applications for a graduate assistant for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 academic years (two-year appointment). The graduate assistant will assist the head coach with all aspects of the program including practice planning and implementation, opponent scout and analysis, film breakdown, recruiting, and other program duties. Located in Brownwood, Texas, Howard Payne is a member of NCAA Division III and the American Southwest Conference.
Responsibilities: -Assist staff with planning and running training sessions -Responsible for assigning duties to team managers (including practice/game film recording and GPS units) -Assist with travel plans and itineraries -Positional group training responsibilities (based on experience) -Producing specific details for scouting and game plan implementation -Assist in recruiting and on-campus visits -Other duties as assigned by the head soccer coach and director of athletics. -Adhere to all NCAA and American Southwest Conference rules and regulations.
Qualifications:
Compensation: On-campus housing is provided (even through summer sessions). 50% tuition waiver per semester, camp opportunities, and stipend each semester. Classes are all online format.
