Founded in 1882, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club is an English Premier League Club, based in North London.

 

Led by the late great Bill Nicholson, the Club became the first in England to win the League and FA Cup Double in 1961, and the first in the UK to win a European Trophy two years later. Spurs has since been home to some of the game’s great entertainers, including Jimmy Greaves, Glenn Hoddle, Paul Gascoigne, David Ginola, Gareth Bale, Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane.

 

In April 2019, the Club opened an iconic new stadium that sits at the heart of a £1billion sport-led regeneration of North Tottenham. Job Purpose

 

The purpose of a warehouse team leader is to manage and lead a team of warehouse workers to ensure that goods are received, stored, and shipped efficiently and accurately. Key warehouse KPIs, such as order accuracy, inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, and cost per order, are critical to the success of a warehouse operation, and the team leader is responsible for ensuring that these KPIs are met or exceeded through effective management and continuous process improvements. The role of a warehouse team leader is to optimize warehouse operations to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction while minimizing costs and maximizing profitability for the business.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage and supervise a team of warehouse workers to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the warehouse to ensure safety, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Train and coach warehouse employees on job tasks, SOPs, and safety protocols
  • Plan and coordinate daily activities in the warehouse, including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping
  • Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular inventory counts to ensure accuracy and avoid stockouts
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Buying and Merchandising, to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment and delivery
  • Manage and maintain warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors, and ensure they are in good working condition
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies related to the handling and storage of goods
  • Communicate effectively with management, team members, and other departments to ensure a positive and collaborative work environment

 

Key Holder Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure compliance to Club and competition policies and procedures, being a champion for best practice
  • Ensure that all inbound and outbound shipments are properly documented and tracked, and that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and on time
  • Identify and address any issues or discrepancies in inventory levels or shipments, and work with the team to resolve them promptly
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that all products are inspected and meet the company's quality standards before shipment
  • Manage and track warehouse metrics, such as order accuracy, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery, and provide regular reports to management
  • Continuously evaluate warehouse processes and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction
    Support the Club in achieving its overall objectives, including EDI

Skills & Qualifications

 

  • Currently working in or with recent experience of large multi-channel warehouse
  • Significant and demonstratable experience in
    • Management within the warehousing and supply chain logistics industry
    • Managing, leading and motivating large teams
    • E-commerce management, distribution laws, space optimization, warehouse layout, reporting and business analysis
    • Determining and managing processes around Goods in, vendor management, stock control, pick, pack, dispatch & product personalization
    • Optimizing & developing Warehouse Management systems
  • Holds, or working toward relevant Health & Safety qualifications is desirable
  • Holds a full clean UK driving license is desirable
  • Holds a full & valid forklift license is desirable
