About this role:

Crystal Palace FC Women’s team are looking for an experienced Head coach to lead and ensure the overall success of the team. This role will report to our Head of Women’s Football and the successful candidate will be responsible in managing the team and MDT, working towards the long-term plan of the club.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective training sessions that improve the tactical, physical, and mental abilities of the team.
  • Create and execute game strategies that maximise the team's strengths and exploit the weaknesses of the opposition.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with players, coaching staff, management, and supporters.
  • Manage team personnel, including selecting the starting line-up, making substitutions, and managing player discipline.
  • Conduct a formal programme of observing player performance and provide effective feedback for development.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of team performance, player development, and other relevant data.
  • Contribute appropriately to the development of teaching and coaching resources.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest coaching trends, and technologies, and incorporate them into the team's training sessions.
  • To attend all training sessions and matches played by the Club.
  • Represent the Club at League Competition/FA meetings.
  • Work closely with the Head of Women’s Football to develop and implement long-term goals and strategies.
  • Maintain an up-to-date record of all coaches’ qualifications and license.
  • Directly manage and lead the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Uphold and promote the Club’s policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required by line manager.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • UEFA A Licence (essential)
  • Experience as a Head coach
  • Knowledge of the demands of Women’s Professional Game
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire players, coaching staff, and management.
  • Pro Licence (desirable)
  • Experience in using analytical software (WyScout, Sportscode, Hudl, Statsbomb)
  • Extensive experience of working across all levels in the professional game.
  • Experience working in Women’s football. (desirable)
