The Role of the Technology Support Technician
The Technology Support Technician assumes the role of a technology support function at the Office, Stadium, Training Ground (Jersey Road) and Superstore and will look to liaise with key personnel to make sure that all systems and software is always fully functional. In addition to this they will provide project assistance and support for all new ‘system innovations’ that are introduced within the season. The role reports to the Infrastructure Manager based at 27 Great West Road.
Main Accountabilities
- To provide key Technology Support to Brentford’s Training Ground, Office, Store, the team, and staff whilst being aligned to their working schedules.
- Liaise with 3rd party IT services contractor and other 3rd parties to ensure resolution of complex Technology issues maintaining delivery of service to the business.
- Configure, test, and support a varied range of hardware and software used within an elite performance training environment, including but not limited to MacBook’s, AV equipment, Laptops, printers, Wi-Fi, and Telephony Services.
- Provide support to the greater technology team as and when required with project management requirements for all training ground technology projects
- Provide software training and making sure documentation is up to date
- Look to make sure asset management is kept up to date and asset distribution as part of a tolling replacement strategy or new starter activity.

Key Internal Relationships
- This role is pivotal in building and maintaining relationships around the On-Field and Off-Field Team and staff.
- Technology also has a key working relationship with Operations, specifically around match days who are based out of the stadium, but also having a presence at the training ground
Person Specification - Essential Personal Characteristics
- List professional qualifications or certifications required
- Demonstrable knowledge of MAC OS from – Mojave onwards
- Experience in Active Directory, Office 365, including Azure and Intune
- A knowledge of AV systems from Video conferencing to IPTV solutions and digital signage, specifically Tripleplay.
- Excellent communication skills and have the abilities to work well under a pressurised environment
- Be able to be agile in the ways of working and triage issues quickly and efficiently
- Have a flexible approach to work that allows alignment with the Teams working schedule
- Be completely customer focused
- Ability to work on ones own as well as part of a wider technology team
- Ability to work within an ITIL ticketing system so all issues are captured and can be reported on
- Great communication skills with the ability to set expectations and deliver on agreed timescales.
- Working knowledge and successful implementation of medium-scale rollout projects
