Digital Producer (Projects)
Main Duties and Responsibilities
We are recruiting a Digital Producer to bring all aspects of the work of NFM to life digitally for our visitors, producing high quality digital content across our exhibitions, gallery updates, interventions, platforms and programmes.

Overall purpose of the post:
· To support the Project Manager in the successful delivery of projects across the museum.
· To lead on the development and production of onsite digital content for projects such as exhibitions, gallery updates and contemporary collecting, under the guidance of the Project Manager.
· To play a role in developing the NFM’s digital strategy and to support colleagues in incorporating digital elements into creative projects.
Key Responsibilities
Digital and Creative:
· To produce innovative and appealing digital work as a creative response to NFM’s collection and exhibitions and to highlight the museum’s social and community-focused values.
· To prepare digital videos, podcasts, vlogs and other appropriate content for the multiple digital platforms, including initiating, organising, filming/recording and editing content.
· Under the guidance of the Project Manager, to liaise with staff, stakeholders, commissioned partners and visiting footballers as appropriate to engage their participation in online content.
· Where appropriate, to support in-house graphic design for projects including exhibitions and displays, community projects and marketing.
· To reach new visitors through the facilitation of live streaming, podcasts and the production of digital projects.
· To manage AV and IT equipment used to produce digital stories, and to oversee their maintenance and use with the support of the Technical Team.
· To ensure that equity and inclusion is embedded in all projects and outputs through championing best practice and proactively developing approaches to them.
Projects:
· To play an active role in project teams to support the development and delivery of physical and digital projects across the organisation.
· To develop innovative digital content to use in physical and digital exhibitions and gallery displays, under the guidance of the Project Manager and liaising with creative practitioners where appropriate.
· To develop digital content for outreach and learning projects to engage with communities, develop resources and record activity.
· To support the delivery of contemporary collecting projects by providing filming, audio recording and photography where required.
Development:
· With the support of the Project Manager to develop digital skills and expertise through training, experience and networking.
· To proactively keep up-to-date on digital developments and opportunities, and feed these into project proposals and planning.
· To keep up-to-date with issues relating to digital copyright and ownership and support the Project Manager to ensure that all digital material is properly managed in this regard.
· To support the upskilling of colleagues in digital skills through providing training or advice where appropriate.
Other:
· To ensure all activities undertaken are properly risk assessed and meet the requirements of the National Football Museum Health and Safety Policy

Essential knowledge, skills and experience:
· Knowledge of digital technology with an enthusiasm and desire to research and keep abreast of developments in this fast-moving sector
· Experience of using Windows OS, Mac OSX, iOS and MS office
· Experience of using Adobe Creative Cloud applications (e.g. Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Lightroom).
· Knowledge of operating computer-based video and sound recording/editing systems
· Awareness of copyright and other legal issues associated with online/onsite digital content
Desirable knowledge, skills and experience:
· Experience of using 3D design packages
· Experience of working in the museum or heritage sector to support collections, programmes and community-focused work
· Knowledge of, or interest in, the themes covered at the National Football Museum

· Excellent time management skills, and ability to juggle a varied workload and meet agreed deadlines
· Self-motivated and able to work both alone and as part of a team to deliver agreed outcomes
· Good verbal and written communication skills, and experience of communicating with a range of audiences
· Good ‘customer service’ skills, and ability to engage with a variety of people on a day-to-day basis to encourage engagement and build relationships
· Ability to build effective relationships within the organisation to support the delivery of cross-departmental outcomes
· Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends, depending on programme need (e.g. to film events or support projects)
