The Petoskey Youth Soccer Association (PYSA), a 501c3 non-profit youth soccer organization based in Petoskey, Michigan, is hiring a Club Director. This individual reports to the PYSA Board of Directors. The role and responsibilities of the Club Director are to help manage and participate in the club's day-to-day operations and business decisions in a year-round, full-time position.
The mission of the Petoskey Youth Soccer Association is to create an inclusive culture that values the development of the whole player while fostering a lifelong love of the game. Our club’s history dates back to the early 1980s, establishing itself as one of the largest competitive clubs in Northern Michigan. We are a rural grassroots community-based club with affordable player fees. As a full-service club, we sponsor boy’s and girl’s teams in almost every age group, u9-u18. Our teams play in the Northern Michigan Soccer Alliance, Mid-Michigan Youth Soccer League, and the Michigan State Premier Soccer League. The PYSA also owns and maintains the 40+ acre Click Road Soccer Complex, which features the nicest natural grass playing surfaces in the Midwest. Our two tournaments (June and September) attract top clubs from Michigan and Ontario.
We are looking for an applicant who is energetic and passionate about building on the PYSA’s 42-year foundation of success by enhancing our player development programming, growing our membership, and continuing to make our tournaments a destination event. This is a 40+ hour a week position April-October with more limited hours November-March.

Petoskey, Michigan, is an upscale resort community nestled along the shores of Lake Michigan’s Little Traverse Bay. People come to Petoskey to enjoy year-round recreational opportunities. The summer offers comfortable lake breezes and spectacular sunsets along gorgeous beaches, while winter brings fresh, abundant snow for skiing. Known for its Million Dollar Sunsets, the summer home of Ernest Hemingway in his early years, and the Petoskey Stone, there is plenty to enjoy in Petoskey as a visitor or lifelong resident.
Minimum requirements –
USSF “D” License or USC/NSCAA National Diploma, 5+ Years of club coaching experience at various levels and ages, and business or administration experience.
Preferred requirements –
USSF National Youth License, USSF “B” License or USC/NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, 10+ years of club coaching experience at various levels and ages, and tournament and/or club administration experience.
