Reports To:      RAVE Programs Manager

Role Type:      Career Exploration Opportunity

Duration:        20 hours per week for 12 weeks during the 2023 summer

                       

RAVE Foundation is the official charitable arm of Seattle Sounders FC and believes that soccer is a vehicle to empower and inspire.  RAVE removes barriers to participation on and off the soccer field, while supporting and strengthening our local communities. 

 

The RAVE Summer Programs Internship is an opportunity for career exploration in community, social impact, and foundation work. Throughout the summer, you’ll assist with events and program efforts while learning how to execute the vision of a non-profit through community outreach and sports marketing opportunities. Additionally, you’ll gain valuable insight surrounding the day-to-day activities to run events integral to advancing the mission of the RAVE Foundation. A weekly stipend and an Orca Pass are offered.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Assist with RAVE summer community programs including soccer camps and clinics, Sports Media Institute program, Goals for Art and other programs.
  • Gain event planning and project management experience by participating in the planning and execution of RAVE events; including sitting in on meetings and discussion with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attend Sounders FC matches to assist our team with RAVE Match Activations and Planning work.
  • Attend and participate in Social Impact driven meetings and events, assisting with responsibilities as assigned.
  • Attend RAVE Foundation board meetings and fundraising events as assigned.
  • Maintain RAVE Foundation social media accounts across various platforms.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

 

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

  • How the foundation and social impact programs and community investments support the mission, vision, and goals of a professional sports team.
  • How a professional sports team can have an impact on its community.
  • How social impact engagement enhances a fans relationship with the club.

 

WHAT WE ASK OF YOU

  • Must be 18+ years old.
  • Interested in exploring career path within social impact/foundation work.
  • Available for at least 20 hours a week for 12 weeks during the 2023 summer.
  • Willing and generally available to attend events and home matches as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative, a fast-paced environment 
  • Reliable, responsible, organized and detail oriented.
  • Bilingual or multi-lingual skills a plus
  • Must be vaccinated against COVID-19
