Job Description

Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Head, Technical Administration, the Assistant Manager/Senior Executive, National Teams Management will provide leadership, administrative and organisational support towards the management of all FAS National Teams, including the National ‘A’ Team and the Young Lions.

Job Description

  • To provide leadership and administrative support for the National Teams department’s liaison with Clubs, Schools, MINDEF, MHA, SportSG, SNOC, MCCY, and other relevant stakeholders for the release of players for international and local matches and develop positive relationships.
  • Work closely with Technical Department and National Team coaches to develop annual training and competitions schedule taking into consideration the FIFA Calendar for international competitions under FIFA, AFC and AFF.
  • To work closely with the respective National Teams coaches & the Football Development & Excellence Committee to provide strategic directions for the National ‘A’ Team and U-22 Team.
  • To facilitate and ensure all required facilities and equipment are available for the Teams’ programmes.
  • To ensure that the necessary applications and documents are completed and submitted on time to continue being eligible for Singapore Sports Institute (SSI) supporting services.
  • To ensure that all international travel arrangements including visa applications, accommodation and meals, flights, application of leave for players, part-time staff & volunteers are made in advance for the Teams’ programmes.
  • To liaise with the apparel partner to ensure that the equipment and apparel stock are in place and delivered when required.
  • To ensure that players’ welfare (insurance, medical treatments, allowances, scholarships, etc) are taken care of.
  • Organise programmes to cultivate players’ capabilities for post-playing careers.
  • To be present when required at training sessions and events involving the National Teams / Young Lions and to keep a daily record of attendance of players.
  • Some overseas travel with the National Teams is required.
  • To formalise, establish and build on policies with MINDEF and MHA with the support of SportSG and MCCY with regards to the release of players during National Service for the Young Lions and the various National Teams.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Technical Director and / or General Secretary.

 

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in working in a high-performance environment.
  • Strong management, organisational, motivational, and strategising skills.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to multi-task and provide timely solutions to the organisation.
  • Able to adapt to the demands of the job and the needs of the players and staff.
