Minimum Requirements: FA Level 2 *new course* or FA Level 2 *old course* with FA Youth Award. (UEFA B License desired)

Contract: Full Time 37.5hrs per week (Monday- Thursday 11.30am-8.30pm, Plus Saturday mornings 8.30am-12.30pm)

Rate of Pay: £26,000-£27,500 per year

We are seeking a new Academy Manager that has a passion for player development with a huge personality that will not only benefit the players within our programme, but also our amazing team of managers and coaches. Our Academy Manager is responsible for overseeing and developing our grassroots partner football club, whilst also delivering sessions at the club, and in our after school programme.

Our grassroots football club has 170 players in and almost 20 teams for the 23-24 season. Our new Academy Manager will continue the great work achieved by our previous Academy Manager, continuing to elevate and develop the club.

Please do not apply if you do not meet the following criteria:

  • Must live in the UK and within Croydon & Sutton area (or within close proximity)
  • FA Level 2 *new course* or FA Level 2 *old course* with FA Youth Award (UEFA B License desired)
  • A minimum of four years coaching experience primary school ages
  • Actively coaching at present, or were recently coaching in the last 3 months
  • A valid UK driving License with access to car
  • Big, confident, personality is essential
  • Clean DBS check
  • Someone who is willing to work hard, go the extra mile, and care about our brand and business
  • Someone who is passionate about developing a role into something bigger, and better than it currently is
  • Passion for Player Development

  • Overseeing, developing, and delivering sessions for our grassroots partner club u6s-u14s
  • Delivering exciting Skillz UK after school football classes, that directly feed in to the club
  • Developing our managers and coaching staff in line with the clubs philosophy and structure
  • Dealing in a positive way with our parent, managers and children, by displaying excellent people skills whilst maintaining a professional image

As an example, your 37.5 weekly hours will be made up of the following:

  • 4hrs on Saturdays at our home ground for match days
  • 7hrs per week at after school clubs (including set up and set down)
  • 10hrs per week delivering SZ United FC training (including set up and set down)
  • 12hrs per week admin and management time in our office
