Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Finance Intern is responsible for supporting a variety of accounting functions, including completing routine journal entries, maintaining up to date and accurate records of various assets and liabilities, and providing support to the Senior Manager, Financial Planning and VP of Finance. This role is expected to start early June and end late August.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Support month-close process, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, credit card reconciliations and variance analysis for the commercial side of the business
- Assist in accounts receivable/customer invoicing, assuring that invoices adhere to customer contracts and are coded and entered correctly in the general ledger
- Maintain and track various expense and revenue accounts
- Maintain all fixed assets schedules
- Complete various ad hoc projects and analysis to support commercial and sporting activities across the business, at request of Senior Manager, Financial Planning and or VP of Finance
WHO YOU ARE:
- Working towards BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
- Previous experience and working knowledge of accounting principles (preferred but not essential)
- Independent, well organized, and a team player
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with completing deadlines
COMPENSATION: $15/ hour, 30 hours per week
