Hours of Work:                      ​Hours are set to meet the needs of the business but are a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.

JOB DESCRIPTION​

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Attend all continued professional development events.
  • Actively engage in a fully functioning competency framework and integrated appraisal process.
  • Monitor the wellbeing of Academy players at all times liaising with the Club Safeguarding Team.
  • Ensure compliance with all the Policies and Procedures contained within the Staff Handbook, paying particular regard to the Equal Opportunities Policy and Health & Safety Policy and procedures at all times.

    ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working directly with the U13/14 age group (analysis sessions, pre/post, live, statistical, databasing).
  • Liaise with players and staff on player development progress in line with the ILP’s.
  • Filming games and training sessions, where necessary.
  • Creating and maintaining best practice libraries of our academy players and the academies playing philosophy.
  • Creation of learning activation and learning review videos based on the coaching curriculum.
  • Maintain processes and produce reports required by the department (e.g. Multi-Disciplinary Player Reports, Kitman Labs).
  • Contributing to 5 and 10-week MDT meetings and player reviews.
  • Aiding with coach development by filming sessions and producing a report in line with the Coach Analysis process.
  • Seek own opportunities for CPD opportunities to be supported by the club, in line with the appraisal process.
  • Helping the department with tasks and projects where necessary.
  • Ensuring all equipment is maintained and upkept to the appropriate standards.
  • Liaising with the academy performance analysis work placement students to ensure workload is shared and completed.
  • Hosting workshops for the relevant age group players and parents, as and when necessary.
  • Communicate and promote the Academy culture and values within the elite environment for the development of our young players.
  • To demonstrate consistent high standards of behaviour and to operate within the parameters of the laws of the game, the rules of the Football Association, Premier League and the EFL.
  • Any other duties commensurate with the grade and falling within the scope of the post, as requested by the Head of Academy Performance Analysis and Academy Manager(s).

    PERSON SPECIFICATION​

    Qualifications

    Essential Requirements

  • BSc level in Performance Analysis or related disciplines (at least 2:1).
  • Educated to MSc level in Performance Analysis.
  • UEFA C Coaching Qualification.

    Desirable Requirements​

  • UEFA B coaching licence.
  • Teaching & learning qualifications.
  • Data analysis qualifications.
  • Data analysis degree or qualifications.

    Skills and Abilities

    Essential Requirements

  • Knowledge & experience of working in an elite academy environment.
  • Excellent tactical and technical knowledge of football.
  • Computer Literate.
  • Competent with Sportscode, Hudl, Wyscout, Studio

    Desirable Requirements​

  • Knowledge of the EPPP.
  • Experience working in youth development.
  • Data analysis experience (Excel, Python, Power BI)
  • Video editing
  • Coaching experience.
  • Pedagogical experience

Terms of Appointment ​

  •  37.5 hours per week of which these are hours to suit the needs of the business.
