ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director of Coaching Job includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
A. Report to and be supervised by the Board of Directors
B. Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Club’s soccer program
C. Recruit, train, and supervise the coaches in the Club
D. Shall be responsible for certification and licensing of coaches at minimum levels as designated by the Board
E. Establish and implement a consistent player development philosophy and curriculum
F. Assist and Oversee player tryouts and team formation process
G. Build relationships with local rec programs to foster future partnership and growth of the Club
H. Prepare and monitor the coach evaluation process and conduct coach evaluations as appropriate
I. Maintain a record of complaints about coaches and any disciplinary actions taken
J. Work with the Club Administrator for general communication for the Club
K. Oversee the selection process for coaches of all teams
L. Attend required NorCal Meetings
M. Attends a minimum of 2 practices or games per season per team and interacts with the coach
N. If a coach needs support and mentorship, additional time will be invested with them by the DOC.
O. Other duties as required or assigned by the Board of Director
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum USSF D License or Equivalent
(Club will reimburse for a Level D license or will reimburse equivalent funds for a higher license not to exceed $450).
Compensation
$2500 per year (12 month consulting agreement)
49er United is a competitive club, affiliated it with and in support of the 49er Youth Soccer League. We are dual affiliated with both US Youth Soccer and US Club Soccer. Located in Auburn, CA, we are a player-first club with a commitment to develop players, support a love for the sport of soccer, and promote the positive aspects of youth sports throughout our member communities. We field teams from U9-U19, and compete against other clubs in Region 6 of the NorCal Premier League made up mostly of the greater Sacramento Area.
