Job Description
The Purpose:
This role supports Football Operations and Executive / Commercial travel by providing physical protection, planning and resilience, to protect MUFC assets (people, property and information). This role will prioritise supporting the Women’s team, in conjunction with the Men’s team and academy when required.
The Role:
- Security planning (travel risk / route assessment, venue recce).
- Threat and Risk Assessment (dynamic).
- Decision Making under pressure / emergency preparedness and response.
- Ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders (internal & external) & emergency services.
- Travel domestically and overseas (generally 1-2 times per week for 1-2 days (occasional 12+hr days and weekends).
- Engage with and advise senior leadership team (i.e. on the ground at a fixture or event)
- Operate professionally and discreetly in close proximity to players and management.
The Person:
- Level 3 Certificate for Working as a Close Protection Operative within the Private Security Industry.
- SIA Frontline CP Licence.
- Close Protection Experience (5+ years).
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Experience in a similar role would be advantageous (Professional Sports, Elite Athletes, High Profile individuals).
- Previous experience in the Police or Armed Forces would be advantageous.
- Tier 1 Close Protection Qualification (National Protection Officer, Royal Military Police Close Protection or UKSF 1-2) (Preferred).
- Advanced Driving Qualification preferred but not essential.
- Advanced Medical Qualification (FPOS-I) (advantageous).
