Founded in 2022, the Man City Analytics is an independent analytics blog for the fans.
Our goal is to create the most detailed analytical content around Manchester City, from match previews to match analysis and recruitment analysis.
With football analytics departments in professional clubs constantly evolving, we believe that fans deserve to delve deeper into tactical and analytical insights of the club’s performances, in this case, Manchester City’s.
Job Profile
We are looking for talented and passionate football analysts/analytics writers to share their knowledge and develop their skills in football analysis/scouting and analytical writing.
Your role would be to analyse Manchester City’s performances in terms of match, player and data analysis and write these in the form of analytical blog posts.
You have the freedom to choose which form of analysis you like best, such as match analysis, match previews, player analysis or data analysis.
Responsibilities
Be able to write 1-2 blog posts a week.
Requirements
- Understanding of football tactics with general knowledge of football performance analysis
- Previous experience writing analytical blog posts on football
- Technical skills related to video analysis, data analysis, and visualization
- Strong command in written English with good grammar and sentence structure
You do not have to be a Manchester City fan, although knowledge of the team’s playing style and players would be beneficial.
More Details
This is an unpaid role on a voluntary basis. However, as the site attracts more and more visitors, the goal is to turn it into paid content, meaning you will get paid once the site generates revenue from paid subscriptions.
This is a fully remote role.
