COMPANY BACKGROUND
Loudoun United FC, the USL Championship affiliate of D.C. United, is a professional soccer team in Loudoun County. Loudoun United is in Leesburg, VA, and plays at Segra Field – a 5,000 seat stadium built in 2019. Segra Field also is home to the Major League Rugby team Old Glory DC, and hosts matches for the National Women's Soccer League team, the Washington Spirit.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Event Operations Staff is primarily responsible for the set-up and tear-down of the stadium for events. During events, the Event Operations Staff will transition to either an Usher or a Ticket Scanner until the end of the event, whereas they will then assist with tear-down. This is a part-time hourly position.
Essential Duties
- Set-up of all aspects of the stadium before the event.
- Act as either an Usher or Ticket Scanner during the event.
- Tear-down of all aspects of the stadium after the event.
- Other duties as assigned.
- As Usher:
- Check guests’ tickets for seat location and escorting the guests to their seats.
- Ensure the seats in their sections are well-maintained (dry, clean, not broken).
- Report any broken seats to management
- Knowledge of facility locations and services offered.
- Assist guests with disabilities needing assistance.
- As required, escort fans to seats and make sure seats are presented in a clean manner
- Upon seats becoming wet due to weather, ensure seats are presented in a clean manner
- Perform all other duties as assigned to ensure a safe and enjoyable event for guests.
- As Ticket Scanner:
- Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner as they enter the stadium.
- Help scan tickets-including premium tickets-and show guests to their assigned seats.
- Ensure that every guest entering the stadium presents a valid ticket for admission.
- Take in instruction & become knowledgeable of stadium locations and services offered.
- Assist guests with disabilities who may need assistance.
Qualifications
- Must be vaccinated against COVID-19.
- High energy / self-starter
- Experience in an operations or sport industry is preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from events.
Work Environment
- Work in a fast-paced environment.
- Most work is conducted outside in all weather conditions, including cold, rain, and heat.
- Flexibility to work long hours, evenings, and weekends.
Physical Requirement
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, stoop, kneel, and climb stairs.
- Ability to walk briskly or run as the position requires.
