Orlando City joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the league's 21st franchise in November 2013, becoming the first MLS team in the Southeast. The Lions began league play in March 2015. In 2019, Orlando City re-launched Orlando City B (OCB) to bridge the gap between its successful youth development academy and the First Team.

The Orlando Pride, OCSC’s National Women’s Soccer League franchise, began play in 2016 – bringing professional women’s soccer to Orlando for the first time.

WHAT SETS YOU APART 

We are seeking a talented, hardworking and enthusiastic producer to launch newly created media properties for Major League Soccer’s Orlando City SC, and National Women’s Soccer League’s Orlando Pride. Your work is going to be displayed on traditional and over-the-top television, and you are also going to lead the development of Orlando City’s Club Room as part of MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  • Oversee and produce all aspects of the Club’s newly created media properties, to be launched in the 2023 season, from development to post production, to distribution
  • Create engaging content for Club-owned traditional television, over-the-top (OTT), as well as social media shows
  • Manage field, studio and live production settings
  • Live-produce cloud-based MLS game day social media show
  • Produce and direct Orlando City / Orlando Pride weekly show to air on traditional television and stream on the club’s mobile app
  • Oversee Orlando Pride broadcast production, driving relationship with home broadcaster
  • Create content, quality-control, liaise, and oversee distribution to Apple TV’s MLS Season Pass
  • Prepare and execute partnership initiatives in accordance with the Brand Alliance department to ensure all sponsorship requirements are being met
  • Develop a relationship with the on-air television and radio talent. 
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Communications & Marketing department
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in broadcast/ television/ production/ film or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a broadcast/ television/ production/ film environment preferred  
  • Live production, field production, non-linear editing, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of file structure and organization
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and have a strong sense of accountability
  • Must maintain the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality within a pro-team environment
  • Strong understanding and passion for the sport of soccer is a plus
  • Availability during non-traditional office hours in non-traditional settings, including holidays, nights and weekends is required
