JOB TITLE: Assistant Producer, Video
REPORTING TO: Senior Manager, Video Production
DEPARTMENT: Content, Marketing
LOCATION: Manhattan/Orangeburg
 
POSITION OVERVIEW:
New York City Football Club is seeking an Assistant Producer to join our video team to contribute to production on all video output from the Club for owned and operated channels. Working with a growing team of talented video producers, these new roles will play an important part in maturing Club storytelling and will be key in helping deliver NYCFC’s offering on Apple TV’s Season Pass.

The successful candidate will be someone who loves to shoot beautiful content and tell stories which go beyond the on-pitch action and bring new eyes to the Club. 
 
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Lead on capture and delivery of creative innovative video content for our owned media platforms
  •  Assist with syndication of video content externally to grow reach and maximize value of video assets created by the Club’s in-house team.
  • Contribute ideation and production of storytelling across the Club, helping grow connection and audience size through innovative video content.
  • Developing strands for owned digital content channels, working with all internal stakeholders to grow the NYCFC brand and engage the Club’s loyal fanbase with highly engaging, best-in-class video content.
  • Have finger to the pulse on the social space to spot opportunities for engagement, working with the Publishing vertical to deliver short form video assets for owned channels.
  • Ideate and create content that organically weaves in corporate partner messaging and objectives to create value for the sponsor, the club, and the fanbase.
  • Ideate, shoot and edit videos for internal and external stakeholders to an exceptional standard.
  • Manage relationships with freelance vendors, ensuring best-in-class work is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Utilize storytelling skills to elevate and expand NYCFC’s brand awareness throughout New York City and the surrounding areas.
  • Working with Producer, Video to deliver Academy, NYCFC II and Community video on demand content for the NYCFC section of the Apple TV MLS app.
 
 WHO YOU ARE: 
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment
  • Directed audio and voiceover sessions
  • Excellent editing skills on Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Experience roadmapping and managing shoot calendars. 
  • Experience shooting on Mirroless, DSLR, or Digital Cine Cameras or equivalent
  • Must have excellent communication skills and strong brand awareness
  • Scriptwriting experience
  • Shoot management experience
 Desirable:
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. soccer, MLS and international game
  • Adobe After Effects
  • Experience working with professional athletes
  • Additional language/s
  • 1-2+ years of experience producing video content professionally.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Applicant must be able to comply with MLS Next Safety and Well-Being policy and any other applicable child safety policies provided to applicants by NYCFC
  • Must be able to work games scheduled which may be at night and on weekends and holidays
  • New York City Football Club requires a COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of employment, subject to exception under applicable law
 
COMPENSATION:
This non-exempt position has estimated annual base salary range of $50,000 to $55,000. Final compensation offer amounts are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to demonstrated skill set, years and depth of relevant experience, and some role-dependent factors such as certifications and software expertise. We welcome direct conversations with each candidate about compensation in all of our initial calls.
