About the opportunity: We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Insight professional to come and join our Marketing Department, based at the famous Royal Liver Building in Liverpool’s city centre, to cover a period of maternity leave. 

In this exciting role you will oversee the delivery of the Club’s Insight Strategy, managing the set-up, delivery and analysis of a wide range of research projects, both quantitative and qualitative in nature. 

You will work closely with our Senior Data Science & Insight Manager and fellow team members within the Data Science & Insight team to deliver successful research projects, helping to provide insight and business intelligence throughout the Club, to meet a range of business objectives and KPIs.

The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, with the ability to convert data into simple, easy to understand business recommendations, helping to support the delivery of the Club’s strategy. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Designing and maintaining a calendar of research projects to support the delivery of key business objectives 
  • Managing the regular setup, delivery and analysis of online surveys via the Club’s Fans’ Panel throughout the season 
  • Designing questionnaires and discussion guides, appropriately tailoring the content to the research topic and audience 
  • Setting up quantitative surveys, including survey routing and logic, using the Club’s online survey platform 
  • Performing data cleaning on survey data to prepare the data for analysis, removing poor quality data and coding open ended responses
  • Play a key role in the development of the Club’s segmentation project.

Who we are looking for; We are looking for someone who is an pro-active analytical thinker, with the ability to convert quantitative and qualitative data into strategic recommendations that are clear, and easy to understand.

This position is on a 12-month fixed term basis and will be contacted to  35 hours per week with the option to work flexibly via hybrid working.
