Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for an inspiring and motivated Foundation Coordinator to join and lead Aldershot Town Football Clubs charitable Foundation – the Shots Foundation.
You will have responsibility for leading, developing, coordinating and delivering our community courses, events and activities – you will need to maintain and develop relationships with our key stakeholders within the football club, with our Foundation partners (including the National League Trust) and in meeting our Foundations’ objectives.
The Foundation runs the Community Stand on match days and the fanzone marquee (we coordinate the free ticket scheme for the Stand), after school clubs, soccer camps in school holidays and our successful military Veterans Hub, our Visually Impaired Football, the Elder Shots scheme and the Older Shots Walking Football.
The Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring all activities run as planned and to the highest quality standard.
You will be responsible for recruiting and coordinating casual coaches who can deliver community courses - providing ongoing support and training for them in conjunction with the ATFC Academy. However, we do not want to deter applicants who might not have coaching qualifications. Coordination is the key element of this role.
Outstanding organisational skills, to ensure that resources are used efficiently and in line with our budget and strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential. You must be confident in dealing with challenges that arise and taking responsibility for finding solutions. You will need to use your initiative and are willing to take the Foundation into new activity areas. You will also maintain our online presence and lead our grant application process.
Salary will be negotiable and part time will be considered.
You must be available for all Aldershot Town FC home games because of our match day activities.
