Job Description

The Chicago Red Stars are looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and business-minded individual to assist in delivering soccer camps and programs in the Chicagoland area.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 
  • Manage planning, implementing, and supervising year-round camps.
  • Negotiating and booking venues, partnerships, and sponsorships in coordination with the sponsorship department.
  • Organize and lead day-of camp details, including camp check-in, meals, and extracurricular items as needed.
  • Travel locally and regionally to tour locations, set up meetings, and attend camps.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing department to promote and publicize events on the company website/app and social media platforms.
  • Ensure event websites are up-to-date and have correct information (dates, locations, pricing, etc.).
  • Ensure camp compliance with health, safety, and legal protections and obligations (including waivers and insurance).
  • Coordinate with the ticket sales department to help convert ticket buyers into campers and campers into ticket buyers.
  • Assist with match-day operations as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 1-3 years or more of event coordination or recreation programming experience, preferably in the sports or entertainment industries. 
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends, especially in the summer.
  • Ability to handle various programs at one time, multi-task, and prioritize.
  • Strong communicator, including written (slides, emails, docs, marketing copy) and verbal (presentations, event briefings, vendor negotiation).
  • Creative thinker who can turn goals/objectives into well-formulated event experiences.
  •  Passionate, driven, tenacious, and personable with a strong commitment to collaborations and program growth.
  • All employees must complete an online background check, have access to a vehicle, and have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
