About The Role

 

At StatsBomb we are at the cutting edge of various aspects of the data analytics industry, however our Customer Success team is a truly unique offering within the industry. The StatsBomb Customer Success team manages and maintains the relationship with our customers within the football, gambling and media industries by offering detailed product demos, providing tools to manage the raw data, creating custom queries and reports and more. Our aim is to help our customers get more from our data, whether they are analysts, Sporting Directors, pundits/commentators, content creators or data scientists. A good customer success practitioner needs to be part consultant, part project manager, part product expert, part account manager and crucially for StatsBomb, an industry expert.

 

The majority of the work is done online, in the form of written emails or providing customers with reports as well as code - often creating new bespoke analysis either in R or Python depending on the customers internal set up. We also have a number of video calls with our customers and occasional face to face visits.

 

We are looking for an energetic and ambitious French speaking Customer Success Analyst to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who loves to scrutinize data to solve problems, who has experience with football data and with excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have advanced French language skills and will have impeccable written and spoken English skills.

 

The role is full time (38 hours) and can be flexible to suit your location/time zone and preferred ways of working. You should expect to be hands on from the beginning. You will be part of the Customer Success team who aim to provide the best customer service in the industry. You will be expected to fulfill some shifts during evenings and weekends - usually about 2 weekend days per month. You will be compensated at 1.5x per hour for all out of hours work that falls outside of your normal working week.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Assist our customers and partners with setting up and using the products and services
  • Teach and demonstrate our products and services and assist in creating presentations and training 
  • Respond to customer queries ranging from basic questions to advanced problem solving
  • Managing a subset of our customer base, ensuring they have everything they need to get the best out of StatsBomb Data and Analytics.
  • Responsible for customer renewals and upsells, establishing clear retention goals.
  • Creating bespoke reports and solutions for customers depending on their analysis needs
  • Updating customer information within our CRM to ensure one source of truth for all communication with our customers
  • Creating content and processes for our customer knowledge base in order to ensure that all bespoke reporting can scale and be used by all our customers as we grow
  • Helping customers use our API’s - showing them how to download, store and manipulate data using Python and R programming languages


Your technical skills:

 

Essential: 

  • Confident interpersonal and written communication skills in English and French
  • Understanding Football / Soccer both generally and using data
  • Ability to solve problems on your own as well as in a team environment
  • A customer first mindset
  • Organized individual who can manage their time effectively
  • An eternal student who wants to continually learn and improve
  • A positive and optimistic attitude, with a love for football and great enthusiasm for the game
  • Relevant qualifications and previous experience working in professional football are desirable but not essential

 

Desirable:

  • Experience using Tableau/Power BI
  • Previous experience using StatsBomb Data 
  • Python and / or R programming languages
  • Experience within a Customer Success Team
  • Written and verbal communication skills in German would be a plus

 

Your background:

  • Experience working with Football Data
  • Educated to degree level 
  • A passion for Football / Soccer
  • Proven ability to excel in a fast paced environment
  • Experience of Customer Success in a SAAS based industry

 

Salary: £ 25-35K PA depending on experience plus a competitive stock option package.

 

 

Our process:

  • An interview with someone from the Customer Success Team and HR plus a background check
  • An interview with 2 Customer Success Team members
  • A short task to check football / data analytics knowledge and approach to solving data queries
  • A final interview with at least one member of the senior management team
