We are now looking for a dynamic and resourceful Data Collection Operations Manager who will be in charge of coordinating the collection of sports data from live sports content, with the primary focus on sub-premium and “long-tail” football, and its successful delivery to commercial partners. The role will be based in Amsterdam or remotely.
Responsibilities:
Manage the relationship on an operational basis with local contractors and data collectors and be the first point of contact for any related enquiries in order to procure smooth match delivery
Collaborate with internal ELEVEN stakeholders to strengthen partnerships with local contractors and data collectors.
Responsible for a time zone and scheduling of data matches in coordination with partners in order to ensure all upcoming matches are scheduled and allocated within required time frames
Ensure match allocation to on-site data collectors is done within required timelines in order to achieve seamless collection and delivery of live sports data on match days
Schedule and support training sessions, workshops or testing for on-site operators and other relevant stakeholders.
Support contractors needs on a global scale (administration, scheduling and tooling) and connect them to the right team at ELEVEN.
Regularly liaise directly with contractors to understand the needs and challenges of each partnership.
Evaluate relevant internal workflows and processes on a consistent basis to identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
Work directly with ELEVEN’s tech & business teams to identify gaps, opportunities, and ways to ensure the successful collection of live sports data
At least 2 to 3 years of experience as a Manager/Supervisor of global (diverse) teams
Strong understanding of the structure of commercial live sports data, and of worldwide football leagues and competitions.
Substantial organising capacity and time management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and deliver results against KPIs.
Positive 'can-do' attitude and ability to communicate efficiently in a professional manner.
Proven track record of designing holistic workflows, translating them into processes, and supervising their successful execution.
Excellent communication skills, with mandatory fluent spoken and written English and French. Any additional language proficiency is a bonus.
Experience (not required but beneficial):
Experience as a Manager/Supervisor of live sports data collection operations teams
Ability to engage and enable people to perform at their best.
Excellent problem solving and prioritising skills.
Ability to respond to changing demands and priorities in a flexible manner in a globally operating business.
Capacity to think outside the box and propose customised solutions.
Experience with working in cross-functional teams.
