  Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for on-time successful delivery of new data engineering features (new data pipelines, integration of new data sources, integrity of the data model).
  • Minimal defects and bug monitoring / resolution / logging.
  • Use and adoption of company code framework / standard practices.
  • Meeting project timelines as agreed with the data team leadership, within working hours.
  • Working closely with the business to produce timely delivery of high-quality data optimized for self-serve analytics.
  • Partner with data engineers / software developers to always be up to date regarding the addition of new data sources and strengthen our data model.

Skills:

  • Dbt experience in a commercial environment and experience with at least one of the main cloud technology providers (ideally GCP/BigQuery).
  • You are passionate about structuring raw data into properly modelled data warehouses.
  • ETL/ELT of complex and diverse data sets
  • Proficiency in SQL – you write efficient and optimized queries. You are also fluent in another  programming language (Python preferably)
  • You are experienced with Looker (LookML, data model, best practices).
  • Looker certification / GCP Data Engineer certification a plus
  • GitHub, CI/CD principles
  • A degree holder in data, finance or related field
  • Significant experience in data engineering/modelling/validation.
  • Gambling and/or Financial services (desirable)
