The Senior Accountant will oversee the day-to-day accounting and finance responsibilities for Soccer Holdings, LLC and its ancillary companies including financial statements, cash flow, and close processes. This position will report to the VP of Operations while also collaborating with leadership to develop and maintain financial processes and procedures.
This is a full-time exempt position with competitive benefits and paid time off.
Manages the monthly close process including balance sheet reconciliations and generation of financial statements.
Oversees Staff Accountant on the execution and proper recording of the following business processes:
Assist leadership with review and analysis of monthly financials.
Files monthly sales and use tax returns accurately and timely.
Responds to and manages requests from auditors and tax return preparers.
Stays current on accounting changes and best practices as well as state, federal, and local laws regarding company operations.
Maintains regular and professional relationships with vendors and business partners.
Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
Other duties, as assigned.
This position will oversee and manage the Staff Accountant position.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university.
Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience.
Outstanding knowledge and understanding of GAAP and close processes.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Resourceful in completing work and meeting deadlines.
Able to recognize discrepancies and respond to work errors in a skilled manner.
Able to plan and organize projects accordingly, in order to meet deadlines.
Excellent oral, written and visual communication skills.
Analytical thinker and creative problem solver.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
QuickBooks and/or NetSuite experience a plus.
Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls, and compliance-related issues.
Exceptional organizational skills, reliability, and punctuality.
Must successfully pass pre-employment comprehensive background check.
Must be legally authorized or can obtain authorization to work in the US.
