Job Description



TransferRoom is one of the hottest tech startups in sport. We launched in 2017 and our explosive growth means that today we are the go-to platform for over 500 Football Clubs worldwide including Liverpool, Manchester City and Juventus.  We are looking for a brilliant Head of Growth & Automation to join our team. 



You will lead the charge in finding growth opportunities for our business. With automation and building for scale at the core of what you do, you will make and be measured on your significant contribution to our ambitious revenue targets. The role is both strategic and hands-on and you will play a critical part in our overall business success. 




  • Drive our content marketing strategy; what we are saying, to who, and how we are saying it with a focus on lead and demand generation.
  • Build automated email communications that support the sales process, enhance customer experience and drive business opportunities.
  • Develop and implement automated growth strategies that will help our business scale and then track and measure results 
  • Work closely with Sales, Product and Data to scope and deliver automated initiatives that drive customer acquisition, platform adoption, customer loyalty and enhance the customer experience
  • Support our sales team with automated tools for inbound lead generation, free trial conversions, renewals, retention and event participation
  • Ensure we have the right processes and infrastructure to enable our business to scale




  • 8+ years experience in a software subscription or membership business and/or a high growth startup environment
  • A strong understanding of technology and best practices, up to speed with industry insights and advances
  • Experience in setting up automated campaigns and in helping sales teams become more impactful and productive
  • Hands-on experience with software and tools needed to deliver sales automation
  • Very significant experience with CRM tools (HubSpot a plus) and smart tech tools that can add value to the sales function and wider business
  • Strong analytical skills and comfortable with data manipulation
  • Meticulous attention to detail along with an ability to work with high urgency
  • Highly organised and an excellent communicator 
  • A motivated and low ego professional with an entrepreneurial spirit who values teamwork, agility and a solution led approach
